The NYT blamed the US embargo. However, the Mexicans supplied the plane. Cuba can buy whatever they have the money for. The US has refused to provide governmental guarantee of Cuban debt to business because Cuba has defaulted on all debts since 1959. The NYT wants to spend tax dollars on communism to make Raul personally even richer. Carlos Slim should give Raul some of his money since Slim owns a big chunk of the NYT.
