I was wondering if anyone would raise Pintz v. United States. It's an excellent tactic, and given the precedent of the previous decision, it will be hard for the feds to force South Carolina to comply. They can threaten with funds cutoffs, but SCOTUS already ruled the threat of withholding Medicaid funds that is written into the law as unconstitutional, so it isn't likely they'll lose that fight either.
Here's hoping Missouri and Kansas go this route, and every other state that has a large majority against this fiasco. Let's see 'em run it the ACA in just 16 states! Hah! And if Nikki Haley gets this to work, she ought to become a frontrunner for the GOP presidential nomination. I don't see any male governors coming up with innovative ways to derail this idiotic law.
