As a Wisconsinite, I want to clear up a misconception in this story (the existence of which is not at all surprising considering the source). This proposal for revamping the open records law was something that originated in the legislature as part of the budget bill they've been working on. It was not something proposed by Governor Walker, and he had not announced whether he would accept or veto it. It appears that he actually initiated the reconsideration of the matter by the Senate and Assembly. The article falsely implies that this was something Walker wanted and has now retreated from. We have to remember that the liberal media will always do anything they can to portray any Republican in the worst possible light, regardless of the facts. Just like Crabtownboy.

Thank you for a rational post as opposed to the op.
