We can only fix the problem by firing the Little Marxist Dictator.Fox News: Shinseki resigns over growing VA scandalhttp://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...shinseki-amid-mounting-calls-for-resignation/http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...shinseki-amid-mounting-calls-for-resignation/
President Obama announced Friday that embattled Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki would take the fall for the rapidly growing scandal over veterans' health care, accepting his resignation under pressure from members of both parties.
The president announced that Shinseki would resign after they met at the White House and he received an update on an internal review of the problems at the VA. The review showed the problems were not limited to just a few facilities, Obama said, adding: "It's totally unacceptable. Our veterans deserve the best."
On the heels of those and other findings, Obama said, "Secretary Shinseki offered me his own resignation -- with considerable regret, I accepted."
He said Shinseki told him he did not want to be a distraction. "I agree," Obama said. "We don't have time for distractions. We need to fix the problem."
So here he is, finally doing the right thing, but for the wrong reasons. All these other scandals, and he's had a five-step approach:
- Step One: Say "We had no idea."
- Step Two: Express great outrage.
- Step Three: Fire some low-level employee.
- Step Four: Announce a review, a study, or an investigation; deny any further comment or action until the end of the investigation. This step can stretch on for weeks, months, or years, and let the outraged public forget about it.
- Step Five: This is old news, the Republicans are playing politics with it, "Dude, this was like, two years ago."
So LMD pushes a cabinet member overboard -- only he didn't do it because the cabinet member is a liar, a threat to the nation's system of democracy, or because it was the "right thing to do." The Little Marxist Dictator fired -- yes, he fired him -- not because of incompetence, but because Shinseki makes him look bad.
In reality, of all the clowns in the circus master's administration, this man deserves his fate the least. Holder, et all should all have been fired years ago. But they're going to be around, screwing up the country, 'til the bitter end.
