Should Liz be allowed to attend the Prom

Yes, if precautions can be taken for her safety (in case she passes out while standing/dancing) she should be allowed to attend.

My future son-in-law's little sister is dealing with just this sort of problem and it kept her on homebound for a goodly part of the past year until they found medications that sort of control it. Our system had no problem with her attending the prom.

However, safety first. As this is an extracirricular activity her parents should be willing to bear at least part of any expense in making sure the girl can attend safely (whether that means an onsite nurse for the night or whatever). If they can pay for the dress, shoes and limo they can pay to see that she is safe.

Officals will not allow home-bound student Liz to attend the prom at Paul Moore High School in Central Square ( just north of Syracuse)

What say you?
Well it looks like the school might reconsider. If the parent is willing to sign a paper that the school is not responsible in any way for anything that happens to this girl while there due to her condition and the parent is willing to bare all costs of her attending outside normal attendance costs including any costs that might arise because of her condition then I see no problem.
