What have you done and how has this affected your everyday life?

My answer:

As an introvert who works for home for the DOD, it has had no social affect on my life. BUT I am eating at home more and miss eating out.

I smoked a butt yesterday and am smoking ribs today.

Rather than a suit and tie I am wearing shorts, flip flops, and a grateful dead t-shirt.

The most significant impact has been that church is closed and my wife and son are at home.

I have been sitting back watching the elected idiots bankrupt our nation. Democrats and Republicans both acting like socialists.

Australian Medicare is advising us to do as many of our consultations via telehealth (phone or video) as possible with new funding. Only “essential services” are running, everyone else is advised to stay home. Kids are doing school at home through Zoom or Google classroom and teachers are teaching in empty classrooms to a camera.

Our church is live streaming services on YouTube. Our bible study groups are meeting on Zoom. Yesterday we studied Psalm 46 where the psalmist reminds us that God is our strength and refuge in times of natural and human calamity.

Our group is reminding each other that in this time of isolation and fear that we can reach out to our friends, neighbours and acquaintances online (skype, FaceTime, whatsapp, zoom, phone/text) and talk, pray, share our struggles, look out for each other and share how we find peace in our dependence on the One who is greater than all the political and natural powers of this earth.

My life hasn't changed too much honestly, if I'm not at work odds are I'm at home. And I'm an "essential employee", so I still go to work.
But this was my first full day off without church in like a week or so, and it felt like a loooong day lol. I made progress on a project I had been putting off for months!
