Same thing here in the Salt City. I enjoy TV Land (esp Hogans Heroes)

But I think I will survive. If I have to, I will just think back to the '50's when we only had 2 TV stations!

==No, its all Time Warner markets which includes New York and North Carolina among others. I would be amazed if Time Warner or Viacom would allow those markets to lose all of those channels.

My mom will probably switch to Direct TV.. she has Time Warner, but can get more channels from Direct TV for the money she is paying for cable, and her cable goes out all the time...

Time Warner is one of the worst companies out there...

Go get a dish service.

LOL...I just switched from Dish Network to TW. I bundled my phone, internet and cable and saved 80 bucks a month. I do miss my NFL Network, though :tear:

==I have much of the same problems your mother does. Cable goes out, it freezes, the internet goes down, and Time Warner customer service stinks. It is indeed one of the worst there is. However they control almost everything around here.

I also have the 3 in 1 package. The only problem I have had with TW is when the people across the street closed their account with TW, and the lineman erroneously (physically) cut our connection line on the telephone poll instead of theirs!

I also like TW because they have a channel for local sports and a local news channel. My wife likes the "on-demand" channels. Not sure if Dish has those

I have had dish in the past and the main problem is cleaning off the snow - which we get quite often here in the Salt City! And we live on the second floor - the people downstairs had DISH and it is up on the roof!!

I don't know, but it seems that Time Warner Cable has more to lose in this deal than Viacom. Viacom's channels can be accessed through other outlets (dish, etc). Time Warner is about to lose several major channels. If I was the head of Time Warner I would find a way to fix this mess before it hurt my bottom line.

According to Viacom's website, the two sides made a deal and Viacom channels will remain on Time Warner Cable. Certainly good news.
