Two arrested in Farmington trying to illegally obtain driver's license

A man who attempted to pay $2,500 to an organized crime ring for a driver’s license was arrested in Farmington, according to the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department.

Jose Dolores Flores-Bonilla, 31, reportedly drove from Georgia to New Mexico in an attempt to illegally obtain the license, state tax and revenue spokesperson S.U. Mahesh said.

According to a statement released Wednesday, Flores-Bonilla met Ivan Jose Gonzales in Los Lunas, the pair then drove to Farmington where they were arrested by state police outside the Motor Vehicle Department in the Four Corners.

Flores-Bonilla, a Mexican national, reportedly paid $500 for the trip to New Mexico.He was expected to pay an additional $2,000 to an organized crime ring that has assisted at least 40 undocumented immigrants obtain driver’s licenses, Mahesh said.

Off subject, warn those folks to watch out or they won't have to worry about a driver’s license or paying anyone anything. Just a little west of there between Shiprock and Newcomb in the early morning hours, I've all most run over a hay baler and a Navajo gentleman a couple times, they had a to much to drink. I believe that route was 666, should have been a warning to watch out. However the Navajo police came out both times and got them out of there and hay baler off the road, good folks.
