When will McDonalds Learn?

I remember when the woman was burned by McDonald's coffee and how the world laughed and mocked and held her up as the epitome of stupidity and greed. I just assumed it was the truth. I paid no attention, really.
Until I read the facts. She was 79 years old, riding in the car with her grandson driving. They were still parked at the drive thru and she admits the spill was her fault.
But what all the jokesters and late-night comedians left out was that the coffee was found to be at about 190 degrees Fahrenheit. She had major third-degree burns on 16% percent of her body including her genitals and buttocks. She had to have major skin graft surgeries.
She only wanted McDonald's to cover the medical costs. They gave her $800. Thus, the law suit.
This little autistic girl nor her mother knew that the food was at least 160 degree and probably closer to 200 degree Fahrenheit - hotter than the coffee.
I fault McDonald's all the way.
