How about R FK Jr? He is now running as an independent.

What definition of "godless" are you using that doesn't declare the Hamas government as entirely godless?

I'm a dispensationalist (mostly), but my support for the state of Israel is based on the fact that they are a US ally and a democracy in a very precarious region of the world. The fact that the nation is mostly godless is to be expected, as most of the Jewish people are hardened against their Messiah.

He has a fringe appeal, but he's caught in the trap of being too liberal on some things (environmentalism) and being too conservative on others (vaccines, etc.) to have a broad appeal. He could definitely get votes, but I don't see him as having a real shot. Spoiler? He could definitely be that, though.

I was accused of being judgemental earlier so I decided to hold out that one person in Hamas may potentially be a secret Palestinian Christian, though it seems entirely unlikely. I can say the exact thing about the Israeli government. It is highly unlikely that there is a Christian in that government either.

Like the US, Israel is entirely under the influence of the harlot, Babylon. She will be destroyed and all her followers will weep as the Beast and second beast destroy her. Get ready for the end of capitalism and the worldwide rule of an atheist socialist government where famine and hardship rules even over the most wealthy.

I respect your conscientious objection to voting. I may even abstain this go-around because I do not think Trump is a good candidate, but I recognize that others have different views. (I also live in a ruby red state, so my vote won't matter. He'll win by double-digits for sure.)

I will give Trump credit in one major area, though--if not for his judicial picks, Roe v. Wade wouldn't have been overturned.

Yes, Roe v Wade was overturned. Unfortunately, the State I live in responded by removing any barriers to abortion at any stage. It has now allowed for anyone to perform abortions without medical training. The floodgates have been opened and the momentum that once was seeing a consistent drop in abortions is now seeing a doubling of abortions as women are being flown in to have their abortions here.

Thankfully we have New Life Family Services working to give women a choice of life for their children.

As you look at giving before the end of the year, I encourage you to support such front line agencies who spread the love of Jesus to a hopeless world.

You said that 'What happens upon this earth will happen by God's appointment and I will submit to whichever godless government is in place.'
If that is your feelings, than quit complaining. If you believe what you wrote then you are complaining to God about His choice of godless government. Seems to me that you have a beef with God then.

    What have I complained about?

My question is why are Christians trusting in these godless governments for their blessings?

Oh, he is very interesting. They traditional media and dem elites are trying to dismiss him, but I think he could gain headway, especially in the early primaries and caucuses.

I have stated for several months if he wins early, it would spell big trouble for POTUS and you might see big name Dems jump in trying to unseat Biden.

    peace to you

Now that he's an independent, though, he won't factor into the primaries or caucuses.

Lol, so Roman soldiers are going to come out of the woodwork and utterly destroy them from among the people?

    (Luke 3:7-9)
When the crowds came to John for baptism, he said, “You brood of snakes! Who warned you to flee God’s coming wrath? Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God. Don’t just say to each other, ‘We’re safe, for we are descendants of Abraham.’ That means nothing, for I tell you, God can create children of Abraham from these very stones. Even now the ax of God’s judgment is poised, ready to sever the roots of the trees. Yes, every tree that does not produce good fruit will be chopped down and thrown into the fire.”

    (Luke 13:5-9)
No, and I tell you again that unless you repent, you will perish, too.” Parable of the Barren Fig Tree Then Jesus told this story: “A man planted a fig tree in his garden and came again and again to see if there was any fruit on it, but he was always disappointed. Finally, he said to his gardener, ‘I’ve waited three years, and there hasn’t been a single fig! Cut it down. It’s just taking up space in the garden.’ “The gardener answered, ‘Sir, give it one more chance. Leave it another year, and I’ll give it special attention and plenty of fertilizer. If we get figs next year, fine. If not, then you can cut it down.’”

Luke 13:1-9 is a message to us. We either repent and produce the fruit of the Spirit or we are in danger of God removing us as fruitless in His Kingdom.

May we not be like the Fig tree Jesus cursed.
    (Matthew 21:18-20)
In the morning, as Jesus was returning to Jerusalem, he was hungry, and he noticed a fig tree beside the road. He went over to see if there were any figs, but there were only leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” And immediately the fig tree withered up. The disciples were amazed when they saw this and asked, “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?”

How you jumped to Roman soldiers, I don't know.

Perhaps. If he gets more raw votes in Iowa …. Etc than Biden, he will turn heads. If Dems voters vote independent, POTUS is in trouble

    peace to you

exactly my wife’s circumstance. For years she was a Democrat but after seeing their slide into liberals and Worse, Socialists verging on Communist she now identify as independent… so she varies from RFK to Trump. What burns her up is the open boarders and what it’s doing to America. She feels that Trump will rectify that. In any event, she wants Biden gone stating he and his ilk are bad for America. I agree!

    1. The Scriptures are to be taken in the sense attached to them in the age and by the people to whom they were addressed.
    2. Scripture cannot contradict Scripture.
    3. The Scriptures are to be interpreted under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, which guidance is to be humbly and earnestly sought. - Charles Hodge

Is it? Are Roman soldiers actually going to put 'us' to the sword if we don't "repent and produce the fruit of the Spirit"?

1 Now there were some present at that very season who told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 And he answered and said unto them, Think ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they have suffered these things?
3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all in like manner perish.
4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them, think ye that they were offenders above all the men that dwell in Jerusalem?
5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Lu 13

22 For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
23 Woe unto them that are with child and to them that give suck in those days! for there shall be great distress upon the land, and wrath unto this people.
32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all things be accomplished. Lu 21

41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those miserable men, and will let out the vineyard unto other husbandmen, who shall render him the fruits in their seasons.
45 And when the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them. Mt 21

While Jesus is speaking to coming events in Jerusalem, he is not isolating it to only that. If he was, why would the Spirit of God have Luke record it for all us Gentiles to read? There is clear application to us today. I stand firm in my understanding of the passage and its purpose for us today.

Disregarding 'audience relevance' in the scriptures is probably the number one reason for all the crazy misapplications we have today. I reiterate Hodge's first rule of interpretation:

    1. The Scriptures are to be taken in the sense attached to them in the age and by the people to whom they were addressed.
