Worlds smallest church

Everything is number one. I pass a sign in Ga. on I95 south of Savannah every day going up to NC and coming back to Florida that says worlds smallest church. I have never been there or to the one on the other post, but one has to be wrong and one has to be correct I would say.

I remember seeing one, and I don't recall if it was on tv or the internet, that wouldn't hold 3 people.
I ahve to wonder what the purpose of such a tiny church building is.

Thanks DonnA for posting the link.

One church has room for 12 1/2 people......
I'd hate to be the one cut in half......lol.

I take it that these are only buildings, not places where actual church members assemble, take offerings, send missionaries, etc.

I'm not being critical or making fun, just asking.

IIRC there's a medieval church on Exmoor which only had room for the priest to say Mass; the reason for that was that it was a lepers' church and the lepers used to gather outside to watch the service.

I've never been to the church in Nashville, Illinois, but I have been up that way to attend the Missouri State Sacred Harp Convention west of St. Louis. I'll have to stop in some time. I have seen the interstate signs for Nashville, Illinois, and I've always found it interesting that they say "Nashville, IL". This would not be unusual if the town was near the state line, but since it is in the middle of the state, I guess that they do not want people to confuse it with Music City, USA, where I live.
