God Given Faith
GOD GIVEN FAITH
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
The faith of God's elect is a gracious, God given revelation of who he is and what he has accomplished in their place, in the obedience unto death of Christ. It is knowing him, as he is and knowing how his satisfactory work before God the Father pertains to us.
John 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known... -
Is Belief A Law?
Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Exodus 12:40.
And not merely a KJV error.

Problem of there being an actual crucifixion date.
Julian date April 7, 30 A.D. Friday Nisan 16 for the 14th.
Julian date April 3, 33 A.D. Friday Nisan 14.
Julian date April 5, 30 A.D. Wedensday Nisan 14.
Julian date April 6, 30 A.D. Thursday Nisan 15.
There are also other proposed dates.
The problem, all these dates and others are being denied by professing Christians.
At issue, if there can be no actual Biblically possible crucifixion date, there can be no resurrection.
Personally, I am persuaded Julian date April 6, 30 A.D. Nisan 15th... -
Entering the Kingdom
When God takes an individual out of being "in Adam" and transfers them spiritually into Christ's spiritual body, they are made alive together with Christ. Thus a spiritually "dead" individual is made spiritually alive by the washing of regeneration (regeneration = made alive). Since in an unholy sinful state we are separated from our holy God, the "washing" removes whatever was "unholy" such as what God held against us.
The OT saints did not immediately enter the kingdom when they obtained... -
15 Nisan
Some confusion seems to exist on why Jesus could not have been crucified on 15 Nisan.
15 Nisan is the second day of unleavened bread, the first day of the Festivsl of Unleavened Bread, and the day after the Passover.
The 14th of Nisan is Passover (it marks when death passed over the Jews in Ecodus).
The 15th is the day God delivered the Jews from Egypt.
The 16th through the 20th is Chol HaMoed.
The 21st is another high day.
No work could be done on the 15th and the 21st.
These two days... -
The 14th Nisan (A Preparation Day; before the Sabbath High Day) was not before a double Sabbath.
The 14th Nisan (Preparation Day) was not before a double Sabbath.
It is clearly proven that the Preparation Day in Jesus' year of crucifixion
could not possibly be the Friday before a double Sabbath
(Friday evening to Saturday evening):
1.) The evangelists underline that this Preparation Day
was the day before the "High Sabbath".
If it were a Preparation Day before a double Sabbath,
this particular explanation would be superfluous.
A simple remark "on the Preparation Day" would have... -
Jesus died on Wednesday, the 14th Nisan, 3 hours before the 15th of Nisan Annual High Day Sabbath.
Jesus died on Wednesday, the 14th of Nisan,
3 hours before the 15th of Nisan Annual High Day Sabbath.
"The Passover High Sabbath or Feast Sabbath is the first major
or High Sabbath of the year (Exodus 23).
"It is in the Middle of the First Month, on the 15th of Nisan (Aviv).
"It is the day on which the Israelites came out of slavery in Egypt.
"For John it was important to point out the spiritual meaning:
Jesus died in our place (for us)
when the Passover lamb was slaughtered on... -
Non-Calvinist Help- Questions
Good afternoon,
It has been a long time (10-15 years) since I have posted on here. I have recently been involved in a Calvinist/Non-Calvinist discussion and wanted to hear from Non-Calvinists with a few questions I had as a refresher.
1. How do you define God's Sovereignty?
2. How do you view the application of God's sovereignty?
3. What are your concerns with a Calvinistic view of God's sovereignty and why do you believe it is flawed?
4. What are the weaknesses in your view of...
