Don't worry about man. I know folks can get passionate about what they believe. I'm no different as you may have noticed.

I was a Signal soldier in the US army at Fort Gordon Ga. My MOS was 31 Mike and I served from '80 to '84 and was honorably discharged. Never gave much thought to politics or joining any veterans groups until I met a man who had been to Iraq and came back sick.

He started a non profit org to help returning vets with health and legal issues. I volunteered to help part time to get the word out about the problems returning vets were going through. I wrote letters to congress, filed FOIA requests and compiled information while working with Capt. Joyce Riley and the Gulf War Veterans Association.

It was during my time working with Capt. Riley that I discovered what a racket war is. I have been against it ever since. So, yes I know a little about the troops Sapper. I only wish I'd been able to do more to help them.

      Hey Sapper, Been awhile!

That's my opinion alright. If you're able to view a documentary I'd recommend "America Freedom To Fascism". If you can get to a library check out G. Edward Griffin"s "The Creature From Jekyll Island". If you want to see who our "real rulers are" CLICK HERE.

This is just a few sources out of thousands but it'll give ya a place to start.

Just for fun you could go to all the political "think tank" websites both "liberal" and "conservative" like the Brookings Instituion and the Heritage Foundation and see how many of the same banks and corporations sponsor them. Or go on over to La Raza's website and see which banks and corporations sponsor what La Raza is selling.

      SapperWoody,

First of all, I want to introduce myself to you. My name is Shannon. I'm new to Baptist Boards as of today, and I have found that I love this site! I wish that I got on it sooner.

I was searching new members to read their introductions, and I came across yours.

I just wanted to tell you that I really enjoyed your signature, "I do not believe what I believe because I am Baptist. I am Baptist because they believe what I believe is true."

Thank you for serving our country. I just closed my eyes and said a prayer for you. I told God how thankful I am for you and all the other men and women who are serving our country. I asked Him to give you strength to be a good witness to the people you are surrounded with in the military.

Thank you for serving our country and being a good witness to your mates.
