Looks like the Democrats weren't willing to put their political career where their anti-American rhetoric was. Only 3 Democrats voted to immediately end this war. Once again, Congress has overwhelmingly voted to support the president in the war against terror in a bi-partisan move tonight in Congress. So, the next time you see the Democrats on tv railing against this unjust war, tell them to put their political careers and vote where their empty rhetoric is.

Story is still breaking. Will have a link when one is available.

They all realize the necessity of this situation, they just can't help trying to spin it for political gain in the nest election.

"A disgrace," declared House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. "The rankest of politics and the absence of any sense of shame," said Rep. Steny Hoyer of Maryland, the No. 2 House Democrat. this means it was a good thing.

During the House session late this afternoon, Democrats erupted in anger when Republican Rep. Jean Schmidt of Ohio quoted Ohio state Rep. Danny Bubp, a Marine Corps Reserve officer. "He asked me to send Congress a message 'Stay the course,'" she said, "he also asked me to send Congressman Murtha a message, that 'Cowards cut and run. Marines never do.'" I like it

They all sure put on a good show don't they? None of them are ready to give up the contributions and benefits they get from the military industrial complex.

    Follow the money. ;)

These guys win by losing, the longer we are at war the more money floats to the Carlyle group and all the other military contractors. War is business and business is great!

Apparently he voted against the resolution which would have immediately ended this "illegal war" and brought the troops home immediately. He voted, once again in a bi-partisan manner, to support the president and the war against terror. Makes you wonder why his vote doesn't seem to match his political grandstanding...doesn't it?

    :D

You are exactly right. This was a show for the American public before the Thanksgiving holiday break.

    LE,

Is Ron Paul also owned by the same bosses as well? Just curious. He also voted no. :D

If you are referring to the American people who elected them, then I agree. [IMG]

Isn't Ron Paul against the war in Iraq? I would think if he truly were that he would have voted for the resolution and not abstained or not voted, or not even shown up to vote. Where was he?
