I think we'll know the mark for sure, we won't have to guess. It will be commanded by the anti christ. It won't be a surprise that it happens when it does.

 

For years the thoughts about the Mark of the best have been guessed. The reason this item raises our attention is because it is related to "buying and selling" -- as the "mark" is required for these items.

I think we are jumping the gun and making assumptions that this is the technology used by the Anti-Christ. First, an implant is not a mark and does not even leave a scar. Second, this is no different than a credit-card microchip. To me, this is conspiracy theory----right up until the anti-christ is made known and orders the "mark" -- at what time people will be able to discern what it is. I get so tired of CBN shouting the roof is falling in every single time a news article can be construed. ....if I had a dime for everytime I heard that something was starting the tribulation, I would be rich. Remember, Desert storm was the beginning of the end. Then Desert Freedom was the beginning of the end. According to Hal Lindsey it was about four years ago (if you believe the Late Great PLanet Earth.)

As Jesus said, be prepared, but He will come like a thief in the night.

 

I'm with you Phillip, everything is the mark, but no anti christ.

 

It is my impression (no pun intended) from reading scripture that the mark will be somthing open and obvious to all and very easily seen by passers-by on the street.

This is not how it will be, just one man's thoughts from reading the scriptures.

 

Having had credit cards stolen twice in the last few years I think I would gladly take a creidt chip. Then they'd have to steal my hand .

Seriously, Anti-Christ may use this method, and it may be a sign of things to come, but I remember the same worries when bar codes first appeared.

Don't realy know how much we can glean from this type of item.

 

Our dog had an ID chip implanted when we got him from the animal shelter. That was oover 2 years ago.

 

The Technological advances just open our eyes to the possibilities and the absolute truth to be found in the prophecies of Scripture.
Things hailed as impossible just a few short years ago are now very plausible.

 

I'm in agreement with Christ4Kildare. I find it interesting how those who so often berate others for "twisting scripture to fit the times" have no problem doing the same with the book of Revelation.

 

The sad part of the "Crying Wolf" syndrome is that it is ALWAYS false...until it is tragically true.

So why all the talk about the satanic mark in Revelation 13 and not the sealing of the 144,000 and the multitudes in Revelation 7?

 

I agree with Dr. Bob. I'm sure believers for centuries have wondered how such an arrangement would be possible. Just knowing that within the last century man has developed several methods that make "the mark" possible and even seem advantageous makes us think about just how soon this all could be. That's all it really is good for.

Doc Bob, I agree that the technology is now available, where it wasn't 1000 years ago or even 100 years ago.

I remember a pastor who showed us slides of the Holy Land and a car tag that began with "666". He said, "Folks, if you don't believe it the mark of the best is already here."

I went to Israel about four years later. I saw the "666" on the car tags. I also saw "111", "222", "333", "444", "555", "777",
"888" and "999".
