    ???

I'm not sure what about my post would lead to those questions. Hard to tell what you're referring to when you quote my entire post.

What I stated plainly is that birth happens 9 months after conception. They are not the same event.

When you embrace CONCEPTION control, and call it BIRTH control, you've muddled them together, and reduced everything from conception to birth as one event

But if the desire is to control BIRTH, which is the END, and you do it by controlling CONCEPTION, which is the beginning....

and wrongly refer to conception control as birth control, the whole thing is one event. And if its ok to control birth, does it really matter at which point you do it?

It's a subluminal message. Control birth. Control birth. Control birth.

Well, you know that 38 weeks pregnant is before BIRTH....

Okay, so you're pointing out the rhetorical argument. That's what was throwing me off. Thanks for clearing it up, James.

That is why "contraception" should be the word used rather than "birth control".

Unless the child is absorbed by the mother's body which doesn't happen past about a week if that, the child is birthed one way or another. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks and let me tell you, I gave birth, no question. While it was not as intense as when I was in full term labor, the labor pains were still pretty breath-taking. That baby is still born whether at 8 weeks or 40 weeks.

ETA: OK - I reread what you wrote and we are agreeing with each other - I misread it. :) Sorry!

    Psalms 139:13-16 NAS77
13 For Thou didst form my inward parts; Thou didst weave me in my mother's womb.
14 I will give thanks to Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Thy works, And my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from Thee, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth.
16 Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Thy book they were all written, The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.

    Catch that?

To control the number born. To control the end from the beginning.

See, these forms of controlling conception have been mislabeled as BIRTH control, muddling together the beginning and the end of pregnancy.

And if the aim is to control BIRTH, which includes the whole time from conception....

Then it shouldn't matter a whole lot at what point a control measure is used.

Even if it's the day before due date.

You missed the first part of the definition Planned interference with conception. It is a phrase in common use and you seem to be the only one beating this particular drum. It's like saying you were going to take a leak. Don't you mean your going to leave one? Where would you take it? But I digress....

If I understand the point that you make, you should consider abstinence wrong.

    Evangelist;
There are many who would like to put an end to sin yet no one ever has so far. I believe God will one day, but men just are not capable of such a feat. Sin I'm afraid will be with us until Christ returns because it is Christ who can put an end to sin. If man could do it he could also save himself. He cannot do that either

There is scriptural support for that, too.

1Cor 7:3-5 husbands and wives are not to deprive each other except by agreement, and only for a set time, for the purpose of prayer - then come together again.
