Can you show where the stimulus bill mentions ACORN or otherwise singles it out for funding. I would like to see where you get this rumor from. Also, there were more than 250 community groups who will provide volunteers. ACORN is just one. Some of the groups are conservative leaning so I think it averages out. Somebody has to do the counting and it's hard to find that many non-politically biased people.

Oh, I forgot...paying people to register to vote is legal, ethical, and should be encouraged at every opportunity...

I don't see how they are considered "non-politically biased" when they supported Barack Obama. In 2006 they were also insturmental in ensuring that honest law abiding citizens in Jersey City, New Jersey could only buy 1 gun a month, instead of buying what they felt they could safely afford.

Again, I'll ask, do you still believe they are non-biased?

BTW, I the info I got was from Wikipedia.

Of course, there is a difference between "politically biased" and "honest."

For some reason, you equate those with a political bias with dishonest. There's a difference. ACORN has done loads of dishonest stuff...far too much to be considered credible, and there's no way they should get taxpayer dollars.

Sad! He seemed like a nice sort of fellow. Very ugly though! But he could not help that. Most of us have to live with the face we are born with.:godisgood:

Read my statement again, I in no way said ACORN is not politically biased, however there are plenty of right leaning organization that will assist also. I said it is hard to find a group that is not politically biased. IOW, in this country, where are you going to find someone without an agenda to do the census? This is how it's been done since the founding of the nation. Do you have a better solution?

My question was "Can you show where the stimulus bill mentions ACORN or otherwise singles it out for funding.". That has to be the best non-answer I've ever seen.

Also, you think ACORN is the only group who broke laws during campaigns? They are just the ones who got caught this last go around. If I remember right, there was a right leaning group caught in Cali.

Okay, let's say I agree and we toss out ACORN. Do you really think the other 249 groups haven't done the same as ACORN? That is what those groups who go out and register voters do. They go out and get names on lists however they can and if the lists are empty they won't get paid by the party they represent. You know who really looses, the party they represent. They now paid for lists with bogus names. It hurt them not you.

You guys are really making a big deal out of nothing, those fake names never vote. Mickey Mouse has never voted and even if John Doe registers 100 times he can only vote once. The only voter fraud I have seen is people who vote absentee ballot then show up at the precinct. And in these modern days of computers they are being busted also.

So yes, ACORN did wrong and they will go out and hire a bunch of people down on their luck, give them a clip board and send them out to count citizens. However, that is no different from what the other 249 organizations will do.

OR... I am trying to get you into the Light.

You said, "They are still slated to get millions from the so-called stimulus bill.". If this is true then you can easily show me where the stimulus bill mentions ACORN or otherwise singles it out for $1 of funding. If you have no proof of this statement or if you are just repeating something you heard then it is you who needs to come over from the dark into the glorious light of Jesus Christ.

But I do appreciate the invitation...

Mines stands for you also OR.

Wrong, he was a trainer at ACORN not a student.

However, I graduated high school almost 30 years ago. If over the years my high school started giving out bogus degrees, is that a reflection on me? Even if when I graduated the school was very reputable?

So then, it was Obama that taught them how to commit voter registration fraud... to illegally pay for voter registrations... to register voters multiple times...

If you can admit this then perhaps you are finally ready to put down the kool-aid.

He instructed them on community organizing is all any of us know. You are adding those things to the list without knowing if they are true or not. This means you are baring false witness. Something we shouldn't do.

    Not at all.

I was merely following your arguement.

We all know that ACORN engages in fraud as a matter of policy. Hence all the charges in various States against them.

You stated that Obama trained them. That he wasn't a student of them.

    Fair enough.

We should also not defend dishonest people's dishonest actions...as you continually do with ACORN.

Your defense of them would be laughable, if it weren't so sad.
