    2 Peter 1:
    16: For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
    17: For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
    18: And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
    19: We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
    20: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
    21: For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

    John 14:
    26
    But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

    2 Timothy 3:
    13
    But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
    14
    But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
    15
    And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
    16
    All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

    2 Peter 3:
    15
    And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
    16
    As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
    17
    Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
    18
    But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

    We believe that the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the
    inspired Word of God and are therefore without error in the original writings.
    We further believe that this inspiration is not in different degrees, but extends
    equally and fully to all parts of the Bible: historical, poetical, doctrinal and
    prophetical. We, therefore, believe in the absolute authority of the Bible in all
    matters of faith and practice. John 10:35; II Timothy 3:16, 17; II Peter 1:21.

    Paul was referencing the Holy Writ as was complete at the time of his writing to Timothy, but we now have the Holy Writ as is completed from Genesis to Revelation. The scriptures are as inerrant and accurate in their entirity today as they were in their existing entirity in the day of Paul.

    A servant of Christ,
    Drew

    It doesn't matter whether or not the author was "aware" of the extent of this endorsement (Gen-Rev) or that he thought it was referring to the OT or to as much of the Bible as had been written by this time. Since that statement also was inspired it can be attributed to the whole of the Bible.

    Paul said "all" Scripture and since Peter and Luke both reference NT documents as Scripture, we must believe that "all" Scripture includes "all" Scripture rather than simply some Scripture.
