A hiker was enjoying a lengthy trek in the mountains. He came out of the forest upon a dirt road. He was following the road a short distance when he came around a switchback. As he strolled around the bend, he came up short when he found an Indian laying astride the road. He had a calm, thoughtful expression on his face. As the man approached, the Indian spoke, in a deep voice, slowly and deliberately, "Station wagon... man and woman in front seat... child and dog in back seat... baggage on roof..." "Wow!" exclaimed the hiker, "You can tell all of that by putting your ear to the ground?" "...no," answered the Indian in the same unperturbed tone. "Half hour ago... they run over me."
