I Am So Sorry, WisdomSeeker! And I am Sorry,
Sue! My intention was not to criticize the move,
which I thought a good one and one I would have
also made as a moderator! I did see your post
    there, Sue, and understood. :)

My intention in starting this thread was to get the
rest of us also involved in peace-making, myself
    included -- myself by necessity!!

However, I admit that I really do not consider
    myself a non-Baptist. I only declared myself
non-Baptist in order to allow those on the board
to recognize that SOME of my Baptist beliefs are,
indeed, different from the majority of Baptists
here, in that I am Torah-observant.

My synagogue has not changed; it remains begun
by a Baptist who was reared in a Baptist pastor's
home, educated in Baptist seminaries, who still is
called to teach special classes in local Baptist
seminaries, taught now by another man as well who
was reared in a Baptist home and educated in
Baptist a seminary. Everyone in my synagogue
knows it is a Baptist synagogue.

The fact is that I am more Baptist than Several who
call themselves Baptist but do not show the fruiits.
    :)

So obviously, my intention in starting this thread
was also to give myself a a chance for input -- to
give myself a voice on this disturbing issue.

Good post. I too have often been surprised at the tone of the debates, to the point of some questioning other member's salvation at times. I think that's so sad, that we can't debate/argue/defend our positions without the name calling and ugliness. I think a return to civility would be in order - except in the Sports forum of course.

If it is evil to believe others are not going to heaven, then why is it done in the Bible?

Correct. However (to the best of my knowledge anyway), all members are professing Christians, despite whatever doctrinal differences there may be.
