My wife is the director for our associatioans camp in July. That means I get the job of preaching all the services at camp.

We will have a morning service aimed at the younger campers. (age 6 - 12) The teens will also be in attendance, but this is the service for the younger ones.

Then the evening service will be aimed at the teens, the younger campers will also be in attendance.

Anyone have any ideas for relivant messages for these two groups that will not be too far over or under the head of the other group. It would be nice to split them completely but there is NO WAY I could do four services a day, and we have had no other volunteers to help with this aspect at camp.

    Thanks.....Bill

I have used several of the daily devotionals from Ron Hutchcraft Ministries ( http://www.hutchcraft.com/ ). You may have heard some of them... the radio spots are called "A Word With You." You can sign up for them, and you get one each weekday by email. PM your email address and I can spam you some of the ones I already have.

I use them as a springboard. I have yet to just read one. Most of them are really good and make you think. They are also short, so they work good for germinating iedas.

I am our association's youth camp director this yr again, and I gave each church in our association a specific day... And the church's youth groups are responsible for the evening service...

We have morning lessons (teachers on staff)
Afternoons Bible Study (led by pastors of different churches)
Evening services (led by the youth leaders, and their youth groups)

I only have one sermon to preach that week.. and that is the night our youth group has their program.. I usually end it with a short sermon...

Last yr we used "My Heart Christ's home" for lessons, theme, sermons etc.. (google "my heart christs home")
This yr we are using stuff from Peacemakers international... Each day we will emphasize another aspect of what it means to be a peace maker...

I know this is not what you are looking for, but from one director's family to another director's family, know you are in my prayers!!!

BTW, this yr, I opted out of most of the teaching and I am going to be one of the camp cooks!!! (more respect that way!!! )

    I love children's camp.

Usually there is a theme for the week. Can you get your topics to relate to that?
