    LABOR

    Strong’s Greek # 4704 LABOR-
To exert one’s self, and be diligent to study the word of God

We are called to labor in the word of God so that we can see the thoughts and intents of our hearts, Meaning ARE WE ABLE TO DO WHAT GOD IS REQUIRING OF US? If not, then we are able to boldly come to the throne of grace in our time of need to “ASK” God to help us, for without being able to do THIS, we cannot enter into the rest, AND we are in disobedience because of unbelief (that we have to ask) (Heb 4:11-12 and 16).

This is why it is said that there remains a rest for the people of God, and those who have entered into this rest are those who have ceased from “THEIR OWN” work because God has given these time off “their work” so that they can labor in “His word”. (Heb 4:9-12).

Do you understand what the spiritual Sabbath is? If not, It is not doing “OUR OWN” ways, or pleasures, or even speaking “OUR OWN” words (Is 58:13), it is clearly a fast that the Lord has chosen for us to be in His word for our soul to be afflicted, so that our heavy burdens can be undone, and we can be set free from the bondage of wickedness, This is what the ACCEPTABLE day of the Lord IS all about (Is 58:5-6).

We have to be able to STOP speaking “OUR OWN” words so that we can receive His words (58:13), because we are born again by the word of God (1Pet 1:23), for the kingdom of God is not about eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace, for those who can serve Christ in “THESE THINGS” ARE acceptable to God (Rom 14:17-18); Without which we are only into eating, drinking, and playing (1Cor 10:7).

Are you really into pleasing God? (2Tim 2:4); If so, then you are striving to be a master of understanding (2:5 and 7) in the word of God, so that others may also obtain salvation (2Tim 2:9-10); Those who are not putting believers into the remembrance of “THESE THINGS” are striving about words that don’t profit anyone, and they are destroying those who hear them (2Tim 2:14).

This is why those who can work (labor) by studying, ARE approved by God PROVIDING they can rightly divide the word of truth without shame. (2Tim 2:15) Do you have a servant of the Lord who is patiently instructing you in these things that God might grant repentance unto you so that you can acknowledge all of this truth and be recovered from the snare of the devil’s will?? (your own will) (2Tim 2:24-26)

If so, then you are following after righteousness, the faith that can love, and peace because you are LEARNING HOW to flee lusts (2Tim 2:22). Are you laboring in the meat (of this world) which is perishing OR the meat (in the word of God) which endures to everlasting life? (Jn 6:27)

All the labor for man is for his mouth, and yet his soul is not satisfied (Ecc 6:7); therefore whosoever drinks of the water (of the word) which Jesus gives shall never thirst; but this water will be in them like a well which springs up to everlasting life (Jn 4:14); If you knew what the GIFT of God is, you would ASK for the living water (Jn 4:10).

If so, then you understand that only ONE thing is needful, which is to be at the feet of Jesus LEARNING, so that you won’t be troubled about many things. If you can (ASK of God to help you) choose THIS good thing, it will never be taken from you (Lk 10:42, 39, 41-42).

Do you know someone who labors in the word, and doctrine? If so, they are worthy of double honor (1 Tim 5:17), because THESE KIND OF LABORERS ARE FEW (Mt 9:37, Lk 10:2). Do you know anyone who is likeminded, and can naturally care for you? (Phil 2:20); If so then you can be comforted, because MANY are only seeking after “THEIR OWN” selves and theirs, and NOT these things of Jesus Christ (2:19 and 21).
