What is Obama now doing as you say. Installing communism in the U.SW.? Totally ridiculous and out of touch with reality. Check into a hospital that deals with delusions.

Did I say anything about this applying to a state? I simply said this said something about this group's attitudes concerning how they should relate to each other. I also said "if you didn't know where this came from." Personally, I don't think the Bible (at least the New Testament) say anything about civil government.

Okay, that's enough for me!

Perhaps it is you, friend, that has not viewed with open eyes the consequences of socialism and then communism in recent times. Maybe your eyes have grown shut from your "blinding" love of socialist programs that benefit you.

I don't have to go back 80 years to see hardship - it's with us in modern times as well. I'm also smart enough to know that socialism didn't eliminate the hardship of the 1930 depression either! If anything, the social re-engineering programs that started after it set the stage for more problems today. The government didn't save people from the consequences of the depression - people saved themselves by their own hard work and determination.

The problem today is that too many people have been convinced - largely by liberal politicians and media - that government has to take care of them and they're looking for that solution to every problem they face.

To make it clear, it is you that consistently advertises the benefits of Canada's socialism in this forum. It is not me that claims any particular knowledge or concern about Canada's politics.

Perhaps it is you, sir, who are not very familiar with American history and are lost in your own foolish confidence that Canada's socialism is also our answer. Let that be a "clue" for you!

I have no use for Canada's politics - good or bad - and am only concerned with what is good for America. I leave Canadian politics to the Canadians like you.

Socialism is not good for America and is contrary to its long history from its very beginning. America is built on capitalism and that's the best system for us even with its short comings.

The scripture merely expressed what that particular group of Christians did at that particular time and place. It does not serve as endorsement for socialism.

The Bible has a lot to say about the roles of the individual, the family, the state, and the church. God rules over it all.
