    The rich young ruler wanted to go the heaven by his own accord. Jesus told him he couldn't. That's what that passage says.


    Why do you have such a hard time with scripture ?

    The rich young ruler did not ask that question. He wanted to know how to work himself into heaven and Christ told him he couldn't.

    You're the only one on the board who misses this one.

    Read the parable of the sower to find out what happens to Christians who don't study. I think you, yourself, and your "friend" really represent the seed planted in the weeds, that does not grow, does not bear fruit.

    Your original post is not a biblical message.
