What brand makes the most reliabe writable CD medium to use for making audio CD's? I used something that was made for an office supply chain label. My CD player began having problems reading them after just a few weeks. The CD's sat in a storage drawer most of that time. They were played hardly at all.

I've used all sorts of brands and have had no problems with any brand. Went through a spindle of office depot ones year or two back without problems.

You might try them on another player/deck if you haven't and make sure it isn't your unit. If it is you might stick the nozzle of a canned air can in where the disk goes and give it a blow out. They tend to gather dust on the lense and it can cause problems.

You might also want to check to see if there is a firmware upgrade for your burner/player. The firmware can become corrupt in them as I have had to update it on a few computers to cure similar problems.
