What's the best city for planting an independent fundamental church? What's the best way for going about it? I've been praying about this for some time. Want to see what some SPIRIT-FILLED brothers and sisters think.

Take your pick. The fields are white unto harvest. However, remeber virtually nobody come to the big city to go to church. Those that do come to the city with purpose in their hearts.

Where ever you are is the best place to start preaching. Just pick a street corner and gather a crowd. Then let God grow it from there. :)

The best city is the one God leads you to. The book of Acts is full of examples of the Holy Spirit leading. Then when you get there you do your best to win folks to Christ and disciple them. (Easily said but clearly needing God's power to accomplish.)

Methods being used by ind. Baptists: (1) distributing "John and Romans" door to door and getting contacts that way. (2) Having special meetings and forming the church from those who come (John R. Rice planted 10 churches in Texas this way in his early days.) (3) Regular door-to-door visitation. (4) Do a "religious survey" door-to-door.

Your (only) other post on this forum said:

"Any information on Crown College? What about solid online degrees? I'm in a good situation I don't want to leave, but would also like to learn a few more things. Any advice would be great.""

So, which is it? Do you want to find a city to plant a church in, or do you want to remain where you are and go to online college?

I'll be here another few years. That's why I've been praying about a place to start a church in. I'm not going till the Lord says go. What's that got to do with the question?

Do not let all the nay-sayers get you down. There are organizations whose goal is to find places where church plants are needed. You might check out Home Mission Societies. Another avenue might be a declining IBF church needing an infusion of fresh enthusiasm.

Don't let his negative attacks get you down. Just consider the source. He is well know on the BB for his lack of spiritual insight.

However, let me ask a question or three. Is there a reason you want to start a church while you are already in a good church?

Does your pastor support you in your desire to start a new church?

Do you think it wise to take on so much responsibility prior to your getting the educational grounding you will get in college/seminary? :)
