I like Comfort and think he is an excellent motivator. But I do not think he writes college level evangelism books nor books written from a Reformed POV. For such books check out the following.

Nothing but the Truth by Mac
The gospel and personal evangelism by Dever

Sadly these books may embrace friendship evangelism as their only faults. Besides this the books are excellent theologically speaking

Have you ever had someone walk up to you and ask what is so different about your life and ask to get saved?

Evangelist - You get down on Yeshua for spell check and yet every one of your posts today is posted 3 and 4 times. Please give some grace to others as you get grace as well.

    Here is some friendship evangelism...

Mark 5:18-20 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.
Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.

I am a proponent of doing whatever it takes to brag on the Lord and Share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the power of the Holy Spirit.

I don't care about a sub category of evangelism, just do it!

Jesus' conversation with the Samaritan woman at the well would be another example of "friendship evangelism". And it seems 1 Peter 3:15 supports this kind of evangelism.

1 Peter 3:15 But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

Wrong. That's an example of contact evangelism as he did not take years or months to build a relationship. He confronted her in her sin right then and there.

Either way...I posted and you didn't refute what I said.

We clearly see no type of evangelism is better than the other...The Goal is to bring Glory to God through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We as laborers with God must do it in the power and leading of the Spirit. It's the flesh that shies away from talking about Jesus

I think you misunderstand what many of us mean by "friendship evangelism".

At the well Jesus took the time to address the woman and meet on her ground. He shows her an extraordinary kindness in opposition to Jewish custom. He mentions her sin, but not to convict under the Law (infact, not even as a matter if the Law). Instead He acknowledges her adultery as a sign, and she believes because He knew what she thought He couldn't have known.

It is not that friendship evangelism takes months or years but that it is willing to take months or years. There is a difference.
