The way you twist Scripture, you would make a perfect WOF preacher. They use a Proverbs verse (18:21)to come up with the idea that you can speak things on people. Good things or bad things. Does that work?

Show me where Abram drank that wine... Scripture please. If you cannot produce a Scripture that says Abram drank that wine, you are doing some twisting to say he did.

It's a lot stronger case that he did, seeing how Scripture says he brought Abram bread and wine. He didn't bring it so Abraham could take a picture of it. Care to answer the questions posed to you?

"What did he do, throw it on the ground? If he didn't drink it, why is it even mentioned in Scripture? You also never answered where you know it was a drink offering poured out on the alter. Are your words inspired? Again, was Lot and Noah saved?"

And there ya go twisting Scripture...

Scripture does not say Melchizadek brought Abram bread and wine. It says he brought forth bread and wine. Was Abram's middle name 'forth'?

Scripture does not say Melchizadek gave that wine to Abram, only that he blessed Abram by saying "Blessed be Abram of the Most High God..."

It does not say the wine was even given to Abram, nor that Abram drank it.

    (wading in)...

Why do we keep starting, and perpetuating, threads such as this?

You all know the outcome...name-calling, thread closure, hurt feelings.

I know...by responding in this thread, I've given myself no room to talk... :D

But come on gang....nothing's being accomplished here, IMO.

It is extremely hard for me to read certain parts of the Old Testament, particularly the genealogies.

That seems about as good a segue into another topic as one could hope for...
