I was diagnosed late last year with breast cancer. I had surgery in Nov to remove the tumor. Drs. thought they'd contained it, however, to be on the safe side I underwent a lymph node biopsy a couple of weeks ago and followed up today with the surgeon who did the lymph node surgery. The pathology report is not good - my cancer has spread to the lymph system.

I know that God is in control and I give Him praise every day for His faithfulness and keeping me steady and on course. Over the next few days, I have major decisions to make. I ask for your prayer support as I tough this thing out in making quick decisions and with God's confirmation that these are the right steps to take.

I had lymphoma at age 25. The technology has improved vastly since then. But no way around it, the treatments for the disease are extremely hard on one's health. You have my prayers. I pray that your strength, and I pray that you lean on the everlasting arms of our savior. Of course, my personal prayer is for a complete recovery, and several years of a happy, healthy life.

Thank you all very much for your prayer support - it means a lot to me! I've just gotten back from church service this morning (several others there with cancer as well). We were all prayed over and had laying on of hands.

I know that God is in control and I'm very much at peace and calm about things. So I thank my Heavenly Father for sending me his ministering angels these past weeks and months. Each and every person from the doctors, to friends, to BB members, to family and even complete strangers have entered my life just at the time God wanted them there.

    Praise God!!

Queenbee....I will be praying for you. I don't know if you knew her, but Gayla was my very close sister here, and I miss her so much.

I was declared a 2 year survivor of breast cancer on Dec 31st by my oncologist.

No, I didn't know Gayla, but can see that she is missed by a lot of people & Luckyman! I'm so sorry for all who knew and loved her. I'm hanging in there and feeling pretty good. I'm also delighted that you are a survivor Debbie! It gives me hope that I can make it too. Thanks for the words of encouragement.

I think you have a wonderful attitude. And I think you are on the right track by going to the church and doing what the book of James says to do. The first thing I did when I found out I had cancer was to go to my pastor and ask they do as prescribed in scripture.

That being said, I am not against conventional treatment altogether as there is benefit to some. I do however recommend some other things. I believe all of us have cells that are not normal throughout our body. And that conditions such as stress, unhealthy diet, nutritional deficiencies etc... allows those cells to proliferate and become cancer/cancerous. I think that trying to kill the cancer without addressing how cancer got a foothold and overtook our system is a half solution. And I think that is the reason that people come out of remission after periods of good health, they go with a half solution.

There is a wealth of information on the natural approach to dealing with cancer. Some choose to forgo conventional treatment altogether, some choose to use both conventional and natural treatments. I am one of those whose cancer appeared to be successfully treated but reappeared after about two years... and it is not now responding to treatment. Perhaps if I had addressed the diet, nutrition, and lifestyle issues during my initial treatment I would have fared better. I have only the natural option left and feel it will give me the best chance at longevity and quality of life. Check out the website at link. I can't say for fact that I know that this is positively the best soultion for you are me. But it is a place to start looking at information. You can search for other sites but most seem to point to the same things recommended here. Anyway, I have chosen this approach. This is not a sales pitch, I don't have a dog in the hunt other than my own health concerns and sharing that there are positive things you can do, and probably should do, outside doctor recommended treatments. If nothing else, you can PM me occasionally and I will let you know personally how this is going for me as I am just beginning. I might be a wonderful advocate for or against in a few months, as you may be yourself someday....

That said, I pray that God will guide you in all decisions and that you have a wonderful life and testimony of God's goodness to usward.
