    Do you remember the words by the lyricist E. Y. (Yip) Harburg and his anthem of the Great Depression, “Brother, Can You Spare a Dime?”

    It was written by Harburg and the composer Jay Gorney in 1932. Written for the musical, Americana the song is about “the forgotten man” and his betrayal by greedy capitalism.

    Seems like we are in another such era. Greedy banker with derivatives, the housing bubble, and greedy corporations have put us in a bad state.

    Agree, but you omitted the greedy consumer. As P. T. Barnum noted, "Sucker born every minute." Me, all I want is my fair share and just a little bit of yours. <G>
