    (From Grouchy Old Cripple)his words:
As I said last night, I am an atheist and I have problems with many organized religions. Jerry Fallwell and Pat Robertson are idiots as are most of the tele-evangelists. Buncha con artists.

Hey you two I guess he is a pretty funny ol athiest..so laugh it up.

Perhaps if you write him and tell him how much
he makes you laugh you might get him saved! now
that would be something to rejoice over.

Is this really called for? :( All Republicans are not racist just like all Democrats are not racist or insane.

We shouldn't label anyone should we?? There are alot of posts in this thread people should maybe think about (and pray) and reread before posting so quick. What good does it do to trash each other?! Can't everyone talk to each other in a civil manner?

    Eph. 4:29-32
29Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

    God Bless,
    Rachel

    Interesting comment.

    Are you a christian?

You are proud of being a liberal you say.

So does that mean you fully support abortion?

Does that mean you support a socialist style of goverment including goverment welfare, goverment healthcare, goverment imposed quotas hiding behind the guiese of affimative action and diversity? (Which is in direct violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 Which prohibits employment discrimination because of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.)

    Do you support gays?

As for Jesse Jackson being sensible....

If playing the racecard in all things is sensible then I guess he's sensible. He defends criminals who are black and makes it seem as if they are victems when there's absolute proof of the crimes they commit. Perhaps it's sensible to just see color and who cares about right and wrong.

Shows what a nice guy I am. I've been giving Rove the benefit of the doubt even though he was meant to my favorite candidate for president in 2008 - Congresman Tom Tancredo [IMG] -

Oh, I thought that you left the board. You never answered my question about the fact that the GOP is responsible for the Civil Rights Act as Robert Byrd and the Dixiecrat Democrats refused to vote for the act and the Republicans got it passed. And what about the fact that the Democrats have stood for abortion which has taken the lives of 13,000,000 blacks?

As a fellow American, I'll respond further on these issues.

The classical liberal response is to discredit any black Americans who've become successful in any walk of life by their own merits, hard work, and blessings for our God. The vocal advocates just can't let go and get out from under the yolk of oppression. It is the hold on the hearts and minds of their fellow black Americans that they fear loosing the most.

The additional classical liberal response is to turn any critique of anything to do with black Americans into a matter of racial hatred. Any one, of any race, who dares criticize any aspect of black American culture is sure to be condemned while condemnation of the culture of other races is free game. In reality these people often demonstrate far more hatred in their words and actions that anyone else. Their words reveal bitterness, resentment, demands, and hatred of other races or of their own who've done well.

Black Americans are Americans in every way equal to any other Americans. They have the capability and the will to think for themselves on matters of politics and choose the party, the positions, the issues, etc. that are best for all of America. They are not so short sighted as to blindly be led along in the old ways of the single party vote or of thinking that the only good things are things that support one race of Americans.

God bless all Americans unto His service.

    J. C. Watts, former Republican congressman from Oklahoma, once correctly called Jesse Jackson a poverty pimip. In my opinion the leadership of the NAACP are all poverty pimps.

Bush's speech today at the very formal luncheon was standard boilerplate from his administration. He did get a polite reception. He was given a lifetime achievement award. It was the 35th annual Indiana Black Expo.

He talked a lot about the $2 billion that he has wasted with faith-based spending. What kind of church takes federal money? Well, for one, the cultic segregated Apostolic division of the United Pentecostal Church (Jesus only) here in Indianapolils has a federal contract, Bush announced, to build a 50-unit housing complex for the elderly. Bush is so syncretistical that you have to wonder if he is just a lazy thinker?

The rest of his speech dealt with leave no child behind and educational issues, the recent slight drop in the crime rate, the increased federal spending on domestic pork issues, private ownership of property, housing, and businesses in the ownership society, privatization of social security, and bringing freedom to Iraq and the movement for freedom internationally.

The speech was well-delivered and Bush's oratorical delivery is mature but his content was weak in that he bragged almost entirely about all the pork barrel spending that his administration has engaged in. It was a very forgettable speech.

What exactly does this have to do with the topic of the thread? I mean your intentions are clear but I do hope you could read and comprehend at atleast an eight grade level.

I mean I suppose since it was at the Indiana Black expo you could stretch and say it had something to do with the NCAAP? But most blacks who think freely for themselves do not associate with such a selfish group. In fact many of them are quite disillusioned with the group and ask very pertinent questions like.....Where exactly does all the money they are given go to? Why does only "certain" blacks get help from them instead of the people who really need the help. Of course the answer is they only help those who get "Media" time and not the people who truely need the help.

Matthew Tully , a columnist for the Indianapolis Star, writes that Bush "had a lot of time to prepare a thoughtful, meaningful speech for a major black organization -- but . . . struck out woefully with a boy-is-the-world-great defense of his presidency."

    While in Indianapolis

Bill McCleery writes in the Indianapolis Star: "President George W. Bush met for 10 minutes Thursday with the parents and two siblings of Claire Tatom, the 7-year-old Fortville girl who died July 4 of brain cancer.

"The president comforted the family and talked of his own sister who died of leukemia as a child, said Shane Tatom, Claire's father. . . .

"Bush talked of having grown closer to God over the years, giving up drinking at the age of 40 and spending more time reading his Bible, Tatom said."
