And done it all with full congressional approval, including the "torture".

Obama will not end any Patriot act, and we're about to sign our troops into Iraq until at leat 2011. All with full congressional approval.

And most Americans don't want to be the envy of the world. We'd be happy with world leaders who allowed their people to be free. But we realize we have to deal with folks who don't like to talk about Chavez, Castro, Il, or Sadaam, because it takes their attention off Bush.

But I would have to add, we ARE the envy of the world, every time disaster strikes.

Did any of this happen to you. If so I am sure the brothers and sisters on this forum will come to your financial aid. That is if you are innocent.

Not really, scary but does no lasting harm!

Who, told him there was no yellow cake and aluminum tubes? That lying husband of Valerie Plame. I would rather believe Tony Blair. It was later shown that inquiry was made about uranium in Niger. Can't recall about the aluminum tubes. Also it is a fact that the democrat leaders in congress had the same intelligence that Bush had and they voted for war. Furthermore, there is no doubt that Saddam was a weapon of mass destruction.

Since all the media except Fox is composed of Bush haters why would I go to them for anything?

I can't defend your right to call him a liar when you have no definitive evidence that he did. To state it is obvious that Bush lied is nonsense. Can I state unequivocally that you lie based on the statements that you make on this forum? Obviously not! Neither is there proof that Bush lied other than reports from lying Bush hating media.

However, I believe that Bush did make some mistakes:

    1. He failed to secure the border.
    2. He failed to veto excess spending.
    3. He tried to give amnesty to an unknown number of illegals.
    4. He expanded the entitlements.

Not to ,throw a clod in the churn but for all Bush haters on this Forum there are almost as many babies killed each day in this country as have been killed in Iraq!:tear:

I am amazed that you cannot tell the difference between a crime and something that may/or may not be unethical.

Lying to the public is not a crime. Lying under oath is, but not lying to the public.

BTW, when President Obama tells the country he can no longer afford to give all the tax cuts he promised, will you call him a criminal?

You have acknowelged that all the so-called violations of civil rights were conducted under the authority of an act of congress. It is not a crime if it is done according to the law. You may not agree, and it may even be unethical, but certainly not a crime.

You mentioned "war crimes" (plural), but only mentioned "torture". I am against torture. I don't think supporting torture is consistent with the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.

However, you have not shown that the Bush adminstration's policy regarding interrogation of prisoners violates any law.

If you know the law that has been violated, please quote it.

I think your allegations reflect an hysterical, irrational hatred of Bush.

    peace to you:praying:

Here's your response. My right of Habeas Corpus has been taken away by Bush. They have also made it legal to invade my home when I'm not there and search it without a search warrant. They can listen in on my telephone conversations without a search warrant. Fundamental constitutional rights that I had befor the Bush presidency.

I think he missed the nail, people want smaller government and less taxes but there becomes hard times like now when people get scared to stand idle while an entire industry tanks out. I have to admit, this auto industry thing is troubling to me. I don't see how the conservatives can not do anything while they go down in flames.

Now I am all for reform or even a packaged chpt 11 so they can renegotiate the union agreements and the executive packages. I would even go fr wiping the slate clean of exec's but I can't see doing nothing to help them out.

That's exactly what Republicans have done while Bush took away their constitutional rights. Sleep.

It doesn't matter if they did it. They made you less secure in your home, taking away your right to that security. If they pass a law giving the President full dictatorial powers and he doesn't use them, is that okay with you?
