Almost as good as this Bush remark in 2004:

"Too many OB/GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country."

Bush does O.K. as long as he is wired and told what to say but when he is on his own he becomes very disorientated.

Dunno why he can't just be forceful...say something like

    "Read my lips...no amnesty."

wait....nevermind. Dad already took that line.

    Hmmm...

Action: Bush 1: "Read my lips...no new taxes"
Result: Clinton elected to White House.

Action: Bush 2: "This is not amnesty."
Result: Clinton elected to White House?

historians would have fun with that parallel, eh?

I believe most of the ones in the Congress and Senate and even the WhiteHouse are jokers with the American public and have been for years.

They've taken us for fools by their posturing over position but have come up as rainless clouds of empty promises. Big industry and corporations have downsized while paying their execs massive amounts of money to do the dirty work. Our country has been taking on additional debt and pouring money into unredeemable swamp holes while importing the technology and industry out of our country onto foreign soil. We are leaseing out our highways, ports and infrastructure to foreign agents. We are importing cheap goods, compromised quality, and cheap labor. We are regulating some industries....such as transportation and trucking into impossible restrictions, penalties, and bankruptcy.

I say 'we' because it is our government that is doing this, and we are part of it in our choices made at the polls and our voice heard in letters to officials and statements to the media. And lobbyist, industry, and PAC's are the voices to whom our leaders respond, instead of the people.

And regarding immigration: We are being fooled by the forked tongue of most leaders who speak for controls. If they really wanted to do something about it, they would have already done something more seriously about it 10-20-30 years ago. They have bought us with the sacrifice of their words but have done little to take action. The people in power and the people promoted to power, are, for the most part, are aligned together in self-promotion and their own self support promotional system with each other and few have the boldness to make a serious appeal on behalf of our people. I can see where the recent raids seem to be highly selective, and bring to our attention the problems of having children born in our country with citizen/rights here, to people who were permitted in by our own government. (I say 'permitted' cause it seems there has been little support for our own border control, and our government has allowed...maybe I should say 'the alleged' tresspass' of foreign agents (Mexican) onto our soil.

And to add to the injury, our national policies have intruded more into controlling and manipulating the business of other nations than taking care of our own.

[I'm sorry for the rant. ............I do feel angry at times. ......Now to return to balance and faith. :) ]
