Why do we need a car Czar? And why are we calling him a Czar? Does anyone else find that offensive. We started with the drug czar in 1982. Then we got the war czar, the terrorism czar, and the cybersecurity czar. Czar was the term for the russian kings. It also was used for the kings of Bulgaria and Serbia. The word itself comes from the title Caesar. We don't have royalty or kings in the United States, why should we have a czar. I know what we call a czar has become slang for an executive political official, but I find it insulting.
