He's right about CCM for the wrong reasons. Actually, when I began reading his article, thought it was going to be pro-CCM. He begins with the very argument that you all make. It ain't the music, it's the heart. It's argument which requires you to do just what you rail on others for doing—judge the hearts.

I'm afraid he won't find an ally in me. No one has yet effectively rebutted my arguments.

I have no problem with the guy, personally. I just think it's funny that he paints himself as some Greek scholar and then mocks the rest of us as "not being able to say hello, how are you" (in Greek) and yet, when I call his bluff, he heads for the hills.

    From the essay:

99% of artists writing and performing Christian contemporary music do not use the King James Bible

Great. Can you please list the remaining 1% so we will know whom to avoid (or perhaps laugh at)?

Actually, since he points out it's not about a beat, bis argument is far superior to yours, which has no basis at all, beneath all the big talk.
You mean you do not accept true rebuttal, but rather keep maintaining your premise as if it's never been answered. Actually, it's our arguments you have not rebutted. You just pose some half-full statement ("Music is communication". "We all have standards". "decency and in order", etc), and then disappear while everyone else dismisses that stuff.

You have no right calling someone a troll. If you want to debate the guy then go ahead and debate him but name calling is childish and ignorant. I'll get harsh but I'll always have a proper reason to but I won't just say a stupid comment like, "troll" and that's it...

Posting something to get a reaction out of other poster is one definition of trolling.

Further, posting something and then running away when called on it is another definition of trolling.

That's two examples of his trolling right there.

We would love to debate him, but he won't stick around long enough to talk to us.. That is what a troll is.

    He just posts then runs..

See the definitions of troll as posted by Mike McK. If you post like a troll and run away like a troll, guess what that makes you?

I'd love to debate, but I haven't seen any evidence suggesting that he's willing to debate anything.

Name calling? Hmm... I didn't see it that way. If I had said that he was stupid, or ugly, or that his momma dressed him funny, that seems more like name-calling. I didn't do that. However, if calling somebody a troll for presenting troll-like behavior is name-calling, then that's what I have done.

Right. Look what happened when I called him on his claims about those who use the original languages to gain deeper insight into the scriptures.

    mcdirector...

I'm a dog person as well. I have a little Jack Russell terrior that I love like you cant believe.

If anything were to ever happen to her I think I'd cry for about a month. [IMG]

Regarding "Fundamentalists" objection to the term troll, it isnt used as an insult, it is being used descriptively.

I have seen at least 2 threads started by this poster, and in each one he posts some controversial opinions and then...*poof*...hes gone, like the masked bandit.

    Thats what a "troll" is.

    God bless,

    Mike

Funny how someone can start a thread, post one time 3 days later then disappear. If someone wants to defend their position, me thinks that person should be more active in posting in the thread.

Mark's a bum and he knows it. But we'll all be trouble if we think God can't still move in the hearts of His people.

No, he's a bum and I can prove it. I have pictures. Anywho, I had the flu and now sinusitis. My antibiotics have got me wired. I know I need to go so I won't be a zombie in the morning.
