I am looking for a good church management software which handles membership and all needed finances. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Only time tested softwares please..... :type:

You might search a little at http://www.ccmag.com/ it is an online (used to be printed) christian computing magazine. They have reviewed software packages in the past, you might be able to find the reviews. Also do a google for church software then google the names of the softwares and you will usually find some reviews.

There was a free one awhile back I found but it wasn't much.

We use a program called Blackbaud, but I find it cumbersome. So this isn't a recommendation -- it's a stay away from it ation.

Thank you for your recommendations excentric and for your "stay away" warning Bitsy! I have looked at the CCM but found nothing. On Google search I found several softwares ranging from $95 to over $2,000.00 with all kinds of bells and whistles.....

I am looking for a simple software with capabilities of handling offering envelope systems, as well as showing bank deposits and withdrawals for checks written. Over 15 years ago I used to have a good program but I lost it with my old computer - I have my fourth computer since. :type:

We use ACS at our church. Pretty good. Our financial secretary rocks with the Financial modules. I can pretty much do anything I want with the people modules...include print a directory myself! (Doing that with the youth group now).

Dunno about cost, though I doubt it's cheap. But it's good.
