    Queen is the King!! :D

    Then comes Fleetwood Mac

    The Cars

    Supertramp.....

Saw REO Speedwagon about three years ago at the Stockton County Fair. It was raining, but they kept playing. Only 10-20 of us there at the time. They sound EXACTLY the same. Great voices. Kevin the lead singer looks the same, hasn't aged much so it was pretty nostalgic. Nice guys, we hung out with them for a little bit afterwards.

I'm glad you gave the option of voting "No,' OR 'I hate classic rock." I don't hate classic rock, but I just like it by what songs or melodies I like; not rating persons or groups as a 'favorite.' This is what leads to the modern form of idolatry; worshipping entertainers-- singers, actors, athletes, et al.

I voted for ABBA. I just like their music much better than the other groups you listed, but I wouldn't call their music Classic Rock, as such.CCR qualifies though.

I like a quite varaity of rock, There is something so raw about it, and I can avoid
the the lifestyle with my Christian clothng at this stage in life. I avoid the so called "Christian Rock", because it just doesn't reflect true daily life. Rock doesn't have to be all about doom and gloom, either.

    love,

    Chicago and Kansas for me.

    Would that be "geographic rock?"

I know. We just like those groups more than the ones you had listed, although we like all of them, too. :)

I voted other for a couple of bands that I'll be seeing here in the near future. On 7/25, I get to see Journey with Cheap Trick opening. Then in August, I see Tom Petty. All three of those get pretty heavy rotation in my CD player.

Not sure I ahve real favorites, I never listened to most listed in the poll. I liked some Queen, Abba, Beatles. But I also liked some Styx, and not a group but John Mellencamp and Rod Stewart. I rarly listen to any of them anymore.

I can't say that I like any Rock group. I never got into the groupie side of the music. Too much s*x, drugs and rock and roll for me to even think about praising one group. Now if you had asked what groups music I liked best then I would answer with this.
    • ELO, Electric Light Orchestra
    • BTO, Bachman Turner Overdrive
    • CCR, Credence Clearwater Revival
    • The Guess Who
    • Who
    • Steve Miller Band
    • Yes
    • Styx
    • Seals and Croft
    • Lynard Skynard
    • Allmand Brothers Band
    • Sweet
    • Marshal Tucker Band
    • Harry Nielsson
    • Edgar Winter Band
    • Led Zeppelin
    • The Byrds
    • The Hollies
    • Focus
    • Beatles
    • Jan and Dean
    • Beach Boys
    • Neil Diamond
    • Don McClean
    • The Grass Roots
    • REM
    • REO
    • Super Tramp
    • Chicago
    • Cheap Trick
    • America
    • Bread
    • Rush
    • Ozark Mountain Daredevils
    • Kansas
    • Paul McCartney & Wings
    • and the list goes on.

Then there were many one hit wonders that were done by forgotten artists.

I still find that I like all forms of music be it rock, pop, folk, country & western, some jazz, some classical/operatic but no rap or urban and no latino or soul.

Gospel is what I know by heart and enjoy singing.

    D. All of the above... and than a whole lot more.

No, it isn't sacred music, but I sure do enjoy it. It is what I grew up with and on.

A couple of years ago, I saw Kansas after a baseball game. I took my son & his friends -- who thought they were great (funny that kids today love that stuff).

I wouldn't say they are getting old, but I think I say a couple of oxygen tanks backstage.

    You left out Bon Jovi.

We saw him earlier this year. Not necessarily a huge fan, but he gave a great concert.
