College Presidents lobby for lowered drinking age :(

    ...and as I have REPEATEDLY stated, an 18 year old is an adult legally, not a "kid".

    People who join the military are trained. I do not accept the argument that just because someone can serve in war he/she should be able to drink. These are 2 different categories.

    Drinking under 21 means that people who still have poor impulse control will drink even more.

    I showed my son, age 26, the article about how college presidents were lobbying to lower the drinking age so that there would be less drinking on the college campuses and less alcohol related accidents, rapes, crime, vandalism, etc.

    My son's response was a very loud laugh, followed by, "Less drinking! They'll drink even more!"
