Suposedly, the children who were removed know this Sarah girl who made the report, though they haven't seen her for a week.
Fact is girls as young as 13 are being forced to marry old men and produce as many children as they can.

So you have direct knowledge of this? Well why didn't you mention that you're a witness!

That is a false statement as you seem to have a problem with doing oin a regular bases. There is no evidence that any girl has been forced to marry much less the age that you have falsely reported. Also the CPS in Texas is extremely corrupt. They have on many occasions taken children out of homes on false reporting and over zealous case workers. I would remind you of how this state murdered many chhildren and adults burning them alive all in the guise of law inforcement at the branch Dividian compound.
While I hold that the LDS is a cult they have a right to practice their religion as does anyone. These people are being persecuted for their religious beliefs, not because they have violated any laws.

I am not sure what to believe as it relates to this story. One thing that greatly upsets me, is what appears to be a terribly flawed investigation of the facts prior to the raid.

To learn that the person who supposedly was the molester had not been in Texas for years....OR never!

To not substantiate who the supposed victim was. Now if they knew that the call came from the compound, that would be different. But they did not do their homework.

It would appear to be an illegal search based on unsubstaniated facts with a supposed molester who never had been there!

    Wrong....... wrong....... wrong.....

This is how things get thrown out of our courts ALL THE TIME!

    Isn't polygamy against the law...

Why is it so hard to prosecute this?

Minor girls are having S*x with perverted old men that have multiple wives...

The men are s*xual offenders.. and should be prosecuted and sent to prisons...

The women should be prosecuted also and sent to prisons for allowing their daughters to be abused.

The kids should be introduced into normal society through the foster care system.. and if need be other states should step in and help.

All FLDS compounds should be raided..
The US is allowing sexual molestation when they turn their heads at this.

Tim, why the asterisk? Also, why the inconsistent use of it? :D

That being said, I think you may have something there.

Do you think that Joseph was a child molester? Most bible commentators teach that Mary was around 14 or 14 and that Joseph was in his 30's
Also in years past to marry young was not a problem. My aunt married at 15 to a man in his 30's and no one thought anything about it. This age thing has gotten out of hand by those who have self conceived ideas of personal morality that has nothing to do with the bible or God. Most of those who hold this stance would condemn the mother of Jesus and her husband and in doing so condemn God who arranged the marriage. Marrying young does not make one a sex offender. These people are following what they feel is their religious rights. That is what we all want and if they cannot neither can we. The state is wrong here and there needs to be a serious shake up in CPS as well as our courts for allowing this travisity.

    No, and great point. ;)

It sure has and these secular "moral" law makers are corrupt liars.

So, it's wrong to marry, but not have premarital sex or live together, or live with multiple "girlfriends"?

This country has departed so far from Biblical standards they don't even know the true meaning of the word morality.

In that culture it was OK.
But in ours it is perverted!

What would a 50 yr old want with a 12-15 yr old?
    Sick!!

The state is not wrong, this perverted cult needed stopped along time ago...

And it would have had in the 50s if bleeding heart liberals would have stayed out of it.

I applaud the state for moving in and protecting children.

Anyone marrying one of these young girls is a molester. I beleive I read a girl has to be at least 16 to legally marry in tx, many are less then 16 when married off to old men. If a 16 yr old has children and is preganat, shes been married for 2 or 3 yrs. And they apparently found several girls like this.

The judge overseeing the case signed the order to search the compound. Nothing illegal here. And there is more info involved in this case than just the one phone call. This investigation has been going on for years.

'Scuse me. I wanna' get in some comments to this post, which I will do in bolded 'Red'.
You can find some of this, here:

    http://tlo2.tlc.state.tx.us/statutes/docs/FA/content/htm/fa.001.00.000002.00.htm

But it certainly has proved to be a big time mess, and a full-time headache, for a lot of people.

Culture does not set godly standards, God does. God married two people who were years apart in age through Mary and her husband. The perversion comes in the minds of sinful men, not in a particular practice. I know of those who think it is perverted to teach that Jesus is the only way. Does that make it so? Absolutely not! The thing is that there are those who hold on to communistic and socialistic ideals and want to dictate to others. If these people in Texas lose their freedom to express their religious freedoms then so do we. There is no explicit command not to marry multiple wives or at what age. Please understand I am not advocating such activities,, but I am defending the right to do so if one feels it is a religious belief as long as there is no biblical proabition against it. David did it and many others and not once did God rebuke them. Yes there was a command for a King not to do it but not to the people.

Again like you usually do you state false things. You seem to have a problem with the truth. May I point you to Rev. 21:8.
    Here is the Texas laws on marriage;
    • If you are 14 to 17 years of age, you will need to show your birth certificate or some license, certificate or document issued by this state or another state, the U.S. or a foreign government.(Drivers license, military ID, passport or baptismal).
    • Both parties must be 18 years or older,(14-17 requires parental consent).
    • Both parties must provide their social security number or state they have one.
    • Both parties must provide all information as required on the application and as requested by the clerk.
    • Both parties must take the oath printed on the application and sign the application in the presence of the clerk.
However that is only this states law. Other states allow marriages under 14 with consent. It has nothing to do with molesting a person. Also a girl could very easily be pregnant at 16 in Texas and not have been married until she was 16.

Bold red only makes it show how false you believe. The main thing is that there is no evidence that thhese people violated any laws. What we hhave is accusations, not proof and everyone wats to jump on them befopre anything is proven.

QUOTE] God married two people who were years apart in age through Mary and her husband [/QUOTE]

And you have biblical evidence to support this statement of course.

Sex with children isn't preversion, then what is?

So if the bible does not say do not have sex with children it's ok.

Thats true, but what if this isn't her first child? Then she was molested before 16. And now thats why they are lying about whose children are whose and are having to do dna testing. They are trying to keep authorities from finidng out young girls were molested.
