What's with everybody going to bed? Where are the West Coast crowds to keep the Board hopping??

    Dr. Bob,

Good Morning. I dunno, they have all gone to bed. It seems so quiet and empty in here. Well, I need a coffee, think I will go for a wander.

    Get the picture now:

Everybody on the board is still off in "La-la" land---Blackbird still wonders why they post into the wee-hours and then won't start posting again till about 10amCDT!!

And bless her heart! Sheila lives on the other side of the "Big Pond" and has the Brit time schedule--about 6 hours ahead of the sleepy heads!

Anyway--she is on one side of the pond--Blackbird is on the other side--and we need to wake folks up!!!

Blackbird reaches into the medium sized cardboard box and pulls out a stick of dynamite!!!!!

Dynamite in one hand and a disposable Bic lighter in the other hand!!! There is no wind or breeze stirrin' that will extinquish the flame!!

Blackbird mashes the thumb wheel and the little steel wheel passes across the little piece of cheap flint while the port opens to let a large amount of butane escape the cylinder(Blackbird has modified the lighter to where the flame burns like a acelyne torch!!!!!)

He lights the short fuse to the dynamite stick--holds it in his hand until it reaches the "Point of No Return" and throws it through the empty corridor of the Baptist Board forums!!

"BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!" Folks! Dust and smoke! Dust and smoke!!

He quickly realizes that he is helping to do two things with that dynamite explosion!

    (1) He is wakin' people up who ordinarly are asleep at this Godly hour! Sweet Sixteen! Diane! DonnA! Sherrie! WS! CircuitRider! Caretaker! Dan Todd! rsr(blackbird's super hero buddy pal) and all the rest!

    (2) He's helpin' Webmaster "Clean House!" Giving him room for future expansion of the BB!! Golly! Blackbird loves this place!!!

Meanwhile---Sheila   reaches into the medium sized cardboard box Blackbird had specially shipped to the Brit's US Embassy Office---she has a stick of 'mite in one hand and a Bic lighter in the other!!! Run!!!!!!!! Run for your lives!!!!

See you guys when the dust and smoke settles!!!

    Your board buddy,
Blackbird(Billy Graham look alike and alter ego!) [IMG] [IMG]

    Good Morning All!

blackbird: I am a morning person. No dynamite needed here to get me out of bed. [IMG]

I usually get up between 4 and 5 but I don't go from the bed directly to posting.

I have never been a 'night owl'. "Early to bed and early to rise makes... I can't remember the rest of that line. [IMG]

Dr. Bob: You are younger than I am, that's why you can burn the midnight oil! (Besides you had football to keep you awake last night and I avoid THAT at all costs) [IMG]

Sheila: Sorry you had a rough night. I hate it when I can't get to sleep. I usually get back up (instead of tossing and turning) or grab a book.

Ummmmm, I smelled the decaf in here when I opened my eyes and it tastes very good too! Thanks!

    Sheila [IMG]

    Not REALLY interesting. [IMG]

I am changing my bedroom furniture around. UGH!

I also baked a turkey yesterday and deboned it. Today, I will be deciding which low-carb recipes to use it in.

I made a low-carb meatloaf for supper last night and it was really GOOD! 3.5 carbs per serving. I have only lost 8# so far, but hey!, it's a start. [IMG]

    Sue,

I thought you had changed your bedroom furniture around already, or is this another change around? [IMG]

Yes, Sheila, this is ANOTHER change around! <sigh>

I forgot to mention that I have to move all the furniture to paint. When we moved, my bedroom did not get painted. NOW IS THE TIME!

Plus hubby has been installing outlets etc. and I really didn't want to paint until he finished.

Whoever lived here before we bought it had a temper...so there are a couple of holes in the sliding closet doors to repair.

I am going to get creative and do some sponging with the paint on the doors. I also have large storage cabinets up by the ceiling along one wall and they need 'something' done to them...maybe some sponging and some new knobs? Any ideas?

Sue, what are the storage cabinets made of? Are they pine? I will show these posts to Rob if that is ok and ask his opinion [IMG]

Sounds like you have plenty to keep you busy. Yes, I know all about shunting furniture around in order to be able to paint, been there done that and still doing it [IMG]

    Blessings

    Sheila

    No, Sheila.

The cabinets and the sliding closet doors are homemade. They look to me like they are made out of some kind of thin plywood (not knots or anything in them though), but I'm not sure.......they are definitely not fancy, that's why I want to spruce them up a bit.

Would appreciate any suggestions that can be managed on a limited budget. That's why I usually use paint....LOL.

Everything in the bedroom is painted white. UGH! The closet is 75" wide x 80" high, and on closer inspection, the doors are made out of hollow inside doors. The cabinets are made out of 1/8" plywood. There are 4 cabinets (each having 2 doors) and measuring 26" wide x 36" high.

Would it help if I took a picture and sent it to you?

Okie, tyvm. I haven't bought any paint yet! I will wait. It will take a few days to get the pics back on CD, but I will send you a pic via email. [IMG]

Now that I have your email, we can communicate that way and not turn The Coffee House into "Home Improvement". :D

    Good morning all.

I am up and about at 5 as well. Then there are morning devotions, chores in house and other things to get on with. Sometimes I post here early on.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    I'm here Blackbird! [IMG]
I just can't live on the computer, well everyday, just some of them. On occasion I have a life, such as it is.
No usually I do my study for the women's bible study as soon as I wake up. I don't need caffeine to wake up, I'm realy for the day as soon I get up.

Sue, which meatloaf recipe did you use? Did you do pork rinds? How was it?

Lets see, I've got some dolls to work on today, and got to make a run to the grocery for milk, and then to the post office to ship a doll. So I need to get to that bible study soon.
    See you all later.

Good morning folks! Hope all is well with you. My main computer is down. We have to re-boot Windows 98. This old stand-by unit is still adequate to work with - but slow as a snail. :( [IMG]

ForgivenandSaved, welcome to the CGCH! Just for future reference, when you quote another poster, you do not have to quote the whole message - only part of it. When you click on the "Quote" icon and the window opens up, delete inside all the unwanted text and only leave the part you are replying to. That way you become a "bottom line" person. But you know what? Practice makes perfect! [IMG]
