TO THE COMMON GROUND COFFEE HOUSE #29

I will try to be here to serve you; but if not, feel free to help yourself.

First one in every morning puts the coffee on, last one out at night turns the lights off...

We serve donuts, cinnamon toast (dry toast available upon request), crumpets, bagels, scones, croissants, brioche rolls, yogurt, salads, light lunches, popsicles, ice cream, homemade cookies and homemade pies, and homemade jams.

We also serve coffee (with caffeine and without), hot chocolate, hot tea, iced tea, fresh squeezed lemondade and orange juice, cappucino, Mountain Dew, DP, DDP, Coke, Pepsi, Diet Sierra Mist, milk, milk shakes and Kool-Aid.

If you don't see your drink or food of choice...just ask, we will do our best to stock it for you!

Our aim is to please...come and sit a spell, enjoy the fellowship and come back often!

The only RULE here is NO debating or arguing!

As Christians, we are ALL on common ground...

Not at all familiar with it. It sounds like an old "federated" or "united" Baptist - conglomerate of small church groups that folded or merged together.

Have you been there and seen what the church is doing? That whole area is full of AmerIndians and very little Gospel preaching.

No, I haven't been there, but she has sent me a few bulletins and they looked good (programs, scriptures, etc.).

She lives in Clintonville and dil lives in New London. I believe it is a little drive for her. I was thinking it was SBC, but possibly not. I will find out the next time I talk to her.

Rain has started and temps are dropping. Time for the ice and blowing snow!

Grandkids JUST LEFT and been on my hands and knees picking up "who spilled the beans" - an evil game that I would recommend you give your relative you DON'T LIKE very much. Grrr.

Worked 5 hours yesterday peeling price labels and putting new ones on (one of our companies has "fair pricing" and no one can undersell - so with a 2% increase, we had to change 20k worth of products). Figured I would wait 'til the grandkids were gone and blow off tonights NFL football game and put in another 5 hours or more.

Our office manager watched me (my neuropathy is hitting my hands really hard right now and it is a battle to even type, much less use a razor) struggle yesterday, so came in at 8 am today and just called at 4 pm that the job is DONE! She was fearful for me being out there and cutting off a finger!!

Praise God for caring folks. I think she will get double-time for working on a Saturday.

    (Edited only to correct typo)

Did you mean to say SHE thinks she will get double-time for working on a Saturday or YOU think she will get double-time for working on a Saturday?

If you meant it the way you typed it, it doesn't sound right with "Praise God for caring folks". ;)

We couldn't wait to give our grandkids Play-Doh, Fingerpaint and Light Brite! When they call to complain about the pieces... I remind them of all the years I picked up after them. LOL

So... Nick gets temporary tattoo's for Christmas, puts them all over his chest and then tries to remove them with SANDPAPER tonight. Oh the joy of Motherhood!

    Diane,

If Nick ever gets the idea of getting a real tatoo - remind him of the sandpaper!

Did more work on the house today - the worst part is all the slivers you get when handling wood that is probably over 100 years old!

And deserves every penny. I shouldn't be trusted with sharp instruments! [IMG]

For folks with Jewish background, such Messianic worship is true joy.

The group in Minneapolis (St Louis Park) was almost "charismatic" in music, dance, banners, shofar, and a 3-4 hour service.

In Texas we enjoyed shabbat service for the family on Friday evening. On Saturday, we had 2-3 hours intense study (men), and the women/children did their thing and prepared lunch. Quite a break for my family from the traditional "McChurch" we were used to!

Picture is from a Messianic group in Dallas "dancing" before the Lord.

And is my habit, I will say "Good Night" to myself, since no one else seems up an about this fine evening.

Must get good rest for the big day tomorrow.

    Oh, and for church too.

    Good Morning All!

The really bad weather missed us! We are getting a mix of rain, sleet, and snow today, but nothing like we were supposed to get.

I will be going back to work tomorrow in 14º weather with 20-25 mph winds. I am NOT looking forward to it! [IMG]

Coffee and tea is ready, as well as the homemade donuts. Help yourself!

Well Good Morning all! I slept well with only one 'night sweat' at around 6. Oh the 'joys' of getting older. NOT!

I've had my tea, donut and vitamins while perusing the board. Hope you all have a wonderful day in service. Jim won't be going today. The flu is really bad now and 8 children have died. Jim has COPD and asthma and can't take a chance being aroud 1,000 people!

Talk to you all after church.... and by then, it should be 70 here!

    Good Morning Diane!

That is a 'morning sweat'! :D

I am not going to church either, for basically the same reason Jim is not going. Mine is Bronchitis instead of Asthma.

Preacher sent me an email last night asking if I was going to make it today. I emailed him back and said I would just watch him on TV until this flu epidemic let up!

I have been battling a cold, among other things, for a couple of weeks now and doctor said, "Stay away from crowds, with your history, the flu could kill you.". He didn't have to tell me twice.

I don't go to Wal-Mart either and hubby has been doing all the grocery shopping. The only place I go is to 'my corner' because that is out in the open air and I am not close to anyone...
