    Morning all:

WoO: I have an MRI on my lower back this afternoon. After the fall last Tuesday I have been in a great deal of pain and haven't really slept all week. The prelim x-rays show compound compression fractures in the L4, L5 S2, sacro and tailbone regions of my back. They're already recommending surgery as they also found osteostenosis in that region as well. I can hardly feel my legs, especially my left one, and they feel like they weight 500 lbs. I'm still waiting on the call from the pain clinic. I may call them tomorrow after the doctors appt for the results of the MRI.

Well, it's 61 here this morning and a little bit of fog, but not really bad. Viv made it to work in about 45 minutes this morning. She said that there was virtually no truck traffic. She's coming home at 11am to take me to the Diagnostic center for the MRI.

Please, ya'll, keep me in your prayers for this silly thing. I have a hard time with closed in spaces, and they won't make this an "OPEN" MRI. The last time I had one like this, I had a severe panic attack and ended up in the hospital for a few days, so as you can imagine, I'm a little nervous.

    Well, if'n I ain't back on here, ya'll have a wonderful day!

    T

    Good morning Tony and Sheila:

I will be praying for you, Tony. I know all about the 'panic attacks'...

We lost a very dear, family friend (and a co-worker with Dale) this week-end. He was diagnosed with cancer and given six months to live - just two weeks ago. I called and talked to him, and the kids and I were planning on visiting him this week. He was dead 10 days later. We didn't even get to say good bye.

    We will miss him.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss, Sue. I'll be praying.
I'll also be praying for WoO's MRI as well.

I've got to go to bed and get some sleep.

Lots of tests going on today. Tony and Wife of One and Precious, who is having a CT scan a a barium swallow. Our hard part will be waiting till July 21 to find out the results.

Ya'll have a good day. I'm going to try to get some housework done real fast before we go. It'll have to be REAL fast cause we have to leave in a couple of hours.

I've spent most of my morning trying to locate some 5mg Singulair for Nick. He has 2 left and the doctor's don't have any samples in stock. Merck will give it to us for free because PeachCare won't cover it and our low income, but the doctor had to fill out and mail in HIS part of the form and I dropped it off two weeks ago Wednesday. Nick's doing GREAT with his mosquito bites because of the Singulair but it costs $130. a month! YIKES.

Read the above and prayed for the tests and the family who lost their father to cancer. Hope you all do okay today. Tony, can you take headphones and listen to a sermon or praise music while encapsulated? I listened to praise CD's while having a root canal a few years ago. [IMG]

My mother is supposed to come by on Friday and stay through early Sunday morning. She's on her way back to Mobile to choose some of the things for her new house she's having built.

The allergist just had his nurse call and they found 'some' Singulair and will bring it to Villa Rica when they have open office tomorrow afternoon. WHEW!

Well I didn't get to the store to buy my 15 bean soup mix so that's out of the question for supper tonight! I've got another meal in mind but never know if Jim'll be home on time or not until the end of the day.

What a restful week I'm having! Ty goes right back to sleep and I've gotten to sleep in until around 9:00 each day. Yesterday and Sunday I took long naps. Ty and Nick play quietly. I'll have the other children for shorter days Wed. - Fri. since the grandmothers are keeping them.

Well let's see. My MRI is next monday at 3:15 pm and i'm thankful for the prayers.

This morning we got up and went out for breakfast. This is something we do not do often. So it was nice, we went to a store called Half Price Books. I was very impressed with the books condition and thier selection. I'll be going back every few weeks when we get on our feet. I picked up a hardback copy in mint condition of The Sum of All Fears By Tom Clancy for my dad for a dollar. I couldn't resist getting it for him.

For Dinner i'm kind of Dizzy. It being the DH's day off and my last before I return to work. He's decided he's going to sit and relax and not stress me out too much. So, he's decided he's going to cook dinner for me. [IMG]

I'll talk to you all tomorrow or later on this evening. I'm glad your getting the rest you need Diane it's been too long [IMG]

    -hugs all-

I have no idea what my chef is preparing. Since daughter hasn't been working, she's decided to become the cook. Last night she concocted tacos from ground beef and salsa in the pan with it, cheese, lettuce and sour cream, and whole corn on the side.
    Monday it was lasagna.

Well, I'm back from the MRI. It was a closed one, of course! I was so stressed. Those tight places really scare the bajeepers out of me! But, they had a fan in the machine that blew cool air into my face to help me feel less stressed. It took about 20 minutes total.

MK, I'll be praying for Precious.

Wife of One, I'll be praying for you, too.

I should get the results back tomorrow evening when I go to the doctor. My appt is at 5:30. Tonight is going to be a restless night for me!

Well I've not heard from Grandmother number 1 so I may not have the 3 children tomorrow. Certainly won't be EARLY. Thursday and Friday will be early but only until just after lunch. They should all be gone before my mother arrives, which is good since she doesn't really like children.

I hope everyone (Tony included) sleeps really well tonight! I'm going to chase Nick into the shower and go find hubby. I think he's listening to opera in another room with headphones. [IMG]

    Night all!

Well, it only took all afternoon but we are back!

Precious' barium swallow was very cool(I got to watch) and also good news and bad. The CT scan went well but we won't know the results of that until July 21. Anyway the good news of the barium test is that there is nothing wrong with her esophagus or the way the muscles that control it work. The bad news is that they couldn't "see" whatever IS causing the trouble. And they could see a lot. This test was like a live X-ray. You could literally see all the motion of Precious' body as she swallowed.

Tony, I'll pray your results are good as well.

Diane, I may just go to bed early myself tonight. I keep saying I'm going to but then it 11 and I haven't made it yet!

    Morning all:

Yesterday was a very hard day for us here. It would have been Vivian's dads 76th birthday if he'd have lived. It was also the five year anniversary of my fathers death from colon, lung and bone cancers. Then the MRI. And when we thought we had gone and put most things to rest we got a phone call about Vivian's mother. Viv's Aunt Brenda couldn't get ahold of Vivian's mother, so she called the owner of the trailer park to go and check on her. He found her in the floor, nearly blue all over, cuts on her forehead, nose, her lips and part of her face were black. He immediately called the ambulance and they rushed her to the hospital where her blood pressure dropped like a rock and they had to resucitate her four times. She still hadn't signed her DNR order, so they were forced by law to bring her back. She was still in the emergency room as of 9:30 pm last night. They had done x-rays because of the fall, and she was bruised all over her body. But, they also found a large mass around her lungs. They are beginning testing for cancer this morning. I don't know if they've moved her to a room yet or not. We should know something soon.

Vivian and I are both emotionally and mentally drained. There has just been too much for us to handle the past few weeks.

It's a cool 61 degrees here this morning and the fog was patchy. It was eerie looking outside with the full moon, red in color, and the fog! Then there were the coyoties howling!

Well, ya'll...praying for all. God bless.

    Good morning Tony and all:

Sorry to hear about Viv's mother, and glad your MRI is over. I pray things get better all around.

It is 66º here this morning, but the humidity is already 83º. It will reach 90º today with plenty of sunshine. It was sure hot and sticky yesterday!

Brent and I spent the day outside 'rearranging' our back yard (moving the lawn furniture, etc.). I did some painting with Rustoleum and Brent built a birdhouse, from scratch, and painted it. Guess what colors? Red/white/blue of course! I'm still not sure where we're going to put it...

I also washed clothes and hung them on the line to dry.

We sold Dale's 'old' truck to someone who needs transportation desperately. The man, who bought it, is going to try and fix it so he can drive it back and forth to work. We sold him the truck and four tires (that we had just bought a month ago) for $150.00. We wanted to get it out of the driveway.

Going to Ace Hardware, Wal-Mart, and the library today. We are having a 'crockpot' supper. Not sure what else is on the agenda.

    Cruising,

Tony, so sorry to hear about Viv's mother. I hope they can keep her free of pain whatever the cause. [IMG]

Cindi, is it possible it's just anxiety causing Precious to have this sensation in her throat/ neck? I know when I'm anxious, I swallow air and as soon as I 'think' about what I'm doing, I do it even more! Glad there were no 'seen' problems!

Sue, sounds like you're getting a really early summer! We'll get days like that in August and that's why we go ahead and start our schooling then.

Well it looks like it's just Ty today so I'm going to do some housework and need to remember to run pick up Nick's meds after 1:00. [IMG]

Can you believe that? After all those things the day before, they ask Him what kind of miraculous sign will He do so that they will believe!

Tony, I've been and will continue to pray for you and yours.

Whew, it's hot here! Muggy too. I'm having a child free day today. I'm just to tired to deal with "extras".

It rained last night and I mean RAINED! It was fairly clear when it got dark but long about 10 o'clock it just poured. This morning we're back to sunshine. Funny weather!

Diane, we're not sure what is causing the problem, all these tests are to rule out things more than anything else. I'm still leaning toward this being some kind of allergic type reaction as it started with a severe bout with allergies. The docs keep looking at me funny when I suggest it, but won't/don't/can't explain why I might be wrong. The neck pain and swelling didn't start till we treated the house for head lice. And that was the time of her worst episode. Nothing since then has been quite as severe and even then antihistimine seem to help. Oh well, maybe they'll figure it out eventually.....we still have a lot of tests that the results haven't come back on.

90 degrees and so muggy! YUK! I'm going to have to turn down the air. It's really hot back here in the computer room. They said we could expect some pop up thunderstorms, but I doubt that any are coming our way. It's bright outside without a cloud anywhere that I can see!

Still no word on Viv's mom. I've been wondering. They may have called Vivian's cell phone. They knew that this would involve her voicemail as she can't carry the phone on the floor. Oh well....guess I'll wait to find out at lunch.

    We're having a wonderful day!

First, Dr. Hurwitz found enough Singulair for 15 days. He's doing a paper on Nick and the results of the test.

Next, Blue Cross had 3 times denied the $980. anesthesia charge for my eye surgery. They called today to let me know I needed to file an appeal or call the surgical center. 4 phone calls later, it's all paid! When the doctor's group split and changed, a minor check mark in their computer system was overlooked and has now been 'fixed'. [IMG]

Third, our daughter and son in law are getting along REALLY well and are talking again. They're trying to save their marriage and even talked about her transfering down here and him finding a local job. Major praise! Hope they'll follow through.

Also, I colored my own hair after an uncomfortable experience back a year or two ago and it worked great! BIG savings and it's a nicely blended but not fake looking since I didn't process the extra 10 mins. to try and cover the white.

Only Ty today and he asked for his nap at 2:30. [IMG] Need to wake him up soon tho. His dad will pick him up by 4:30.

What a lovely day! It's low 80°'s and VERY breezy. The clouds come and go even tho no rain is showing up on the radar. Very pleasant weather wise!

Now, if those little shoemaker elves would just come while I sleep and clean my house..... [IMG]

Can you call and check, Tony? Of course, they may not announce any results until the doctor makes his late rounds.
