F.O.G. That is great news, may it continue to be even greater!!!

Bro. Curtis, it's legal to shoot a human in self defense, it sure oughta be all right to do the same to an animal...

Ron, no donuts for me tonight. I cleaned the kitchen, did laundry, and washed all the dishes that no one bothered to wash while I was sick. Then I fixed supper and ate it too! It tasted so good after a diet of chicken noodle soup and 7-UP!

I'm plum tuckered out, so y'all have...

    Pleasant Dreams!

Geener..hate to hear that about any wild critter, hard enough for them to survive whole, let alone crippled....Hey, that would Preach!
Actually BH can, at times, go for a short distance on all 4's now, but most of the time she drags both back legs.
Well it's time to turn her loose & get back to drafting up a billing invoice of some type for our jobs we finish tomorrow. Poor Agee was plum' tuckered out when she got off work, but she don't have to go in tomorrow & we should be done by about 1 or so. Then she can come home & fuss if I don't let her cook supper for me like I wouldn't tonite. She usually eats at work so I try to fend for myself, but sometimes she insists on her "wifely duties" as she calls it! Tickles me!!
    Ya'll have a good night & a brighter tomorrow!

    I'll get the
[IMG] in the morning. You can sleep in standinfirm! Bro. Curtis, I love those crisp mornings like that. We haven't had much sub-zero temps this year. Miss snowshoeing at camp when the air is so cold it freezes the snot in your nose.

    Morning all:

FoG, that is great news! Praise the Lord for He is good!

Well, it's nearly 60 degrees here. Supposed to be nearly 70 or higher. Rain will move in tonight and then we will be in trouble....it will be very cold here tomorrow. YUK! Then snow on Saturday.

    Y'all have a great day!

    Morning Gang,
just popped in to get BH & head out the door. Agee's been up for an hour already, like a yungun'...wanting to know when we're leaving! Guess we'll stop & grab a biscut somewhere for the drive in. Have a lot of choices in this big town..BoJangles...or BoJangles! I'll check in this afternoon, have a blessed day!

    Good morning all,

Coffee is good, padre! It's comforting to know that the CH can run as usual when I'm sick. And even though I'm 'all better' now, I kind of like not having to put the coffee on every morning, so carry on!

It is 37º right now and raining. We are expecting a high of 50º with thunderstorms most of the day. It will turn cold tomorrow with possibly some snow. I kind of figured it would because I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and a baby shower (out of town) Saturday. I just knew the weather would be yucky since I HAVE to get out...

    Anyone watching the olympics?

    Surfing,

Canadian and US women's hockey and curling. I think someone actually scored a goal against the Canadian girls after they ran up 30+ unanswered goals.

I've been catching it off and on between our home schooling. I'm waiting for the 'skating on ice' events.

We got a nasty front coming in, and temps are expected to plummet to -35 degrees. Think I'll keep the cat in, tonite.

Watched the mogul & speed skating competitions last nite, and watched the U.S.A. & Latvia hockey game. I really love the winter Olympics.

The Winter Olympics is just 101 ways to slide on ice.
The only exception I can think of is that combined event where you ski and shoot a rifle. The shooting doesn't involve sliding on ice. Do they still do that?

Don't spend much time in the Pit Stop, do you, Bro. Curtis? :D Cats have them little fur coats and.... but that is a conversation for another place.

It gets in the sub-20s around here. How does the extreme cold effect your daily activities? It's got to be rough on the equipment - like your car - not to mention exposed skin. Can you tell the difference between -20 and -35?

Not really. We had a snap where it got down to -19 a few weeks ago, for a few days. Then it warmed up to 6 above, and we could tell. Walking around in t-shirts & such.....but after about 10 below, it's just dern cold.

BTW, did you know the term "3-dog night" is a term that you keep 3 dogs in the tent to stay warm ? There's no dog, 1 dog, & two dog nights as well.

And I stay out of the awful cat discussions you & Blackbird revel in. (But I do enjoy them, just stay away from Squeeze, please)

But I got me plenty of warm clothes, and enjoy sub-zero hiking & climbing.

I hear ya! My brother lives in the great Republic of Texas and he's forgotten the days when 30 degrees was considered sweater weather.

Squeeze will be safe as long as he identifies him/her self. Brand him/her with a big "C" on the backside would help!

My goodness, I thought I'd stumbled into the wrong thread! Branding a poor cat, for shame Padre!

Hey folks! Been busy, gonna be busy, and I even see busy in my future!

Be good and leave the cats alone!

    See ya some time.....

You know MK, considering the craziness of life in general, herding cats would be a relief. Been busy, am busy, going to be busy? If we're so busy how come we never seem to get ahead?

padre: The more I do, the more I FIND to do. Distressing...

I made homemade bread pudding with caramel sauce for dessert tonight and we ALL ate too much of it! It WAS scrumptious though...

I am going to bed and read until I fall asleep. The next two days are going to be busy (there's that word again!) I have to get out both days no matter what the weather is doing.

We have been under a tornado watch all day and we're expecting snow tonight! It was 60º today and will be below freezing tonight and tomorrow. Weird...

I will sleep well knowing that BH, our security guard, will be on duty all night (if preacher didn't wear her out today).

    Pleasant dreams all!

Hello, & no Sue...we leave her here thru the day, she stands guard here too! We had a police officer here a while back working on a break-in, not us...a neighbor, & I invited him in. He saw BH & I warned him not to put his hand too close to the cage, she was already on full alert, but he did anyway....hasn't been back by for some reason. At least it wasn't his trigger finger!!
Go back to my regular job tomorrow, & today when we finished up the last Apt the manager said for us to add 5.00 to each one for the work we did! Don't sound like much but it'll add up! Agee said thats the fastest she's ever got a raise anywhere!
I've spent the last 3 hours trying to come up with an invoice, finally just used a template off the Office program on Agee's computer.
Sam was in her pen today & I noticed she was jumping up the fence & looking up, but not barking...which is highly unusual for her. I went out & she was watching a squirrel playing in the limbs over her pen! Guess she figured it was BH, cause she will bark at anything that moves.
Well I'm setting BH out & taking Sam out so guess I'll be out...of here till tomorrow. Ya'll have a blessed evening!!
