    Sue,
    Please get checked immediately.
I'm surprised your doctor hasn't noted this already.
Seems like you've had to go a bunch of times.

    GO NOW!!

I was at the doctor about three weeks ago and the nurse said my BP was a high for ME, but didn't seem real concerned about it.

The doctor saw my feet and ankles when they were a 'little' swollen and he gave me some water pills. They don't seem to be doing a lot of good. Yes, I drink plenty of water each day.

Maybe it's just because I've been on them alot with the spring cleaning?

I was wanting to know if swollen feet and legs were a symptom of high BP. I've always heard there were no symptoms. It was the silent killer.

    What do y'all think?

BTW, they are swollen today, but not nearly as bad as they were yesterday and I was outside on the ladder washing windows this morning. Go figure...

Everyone with hypertension claims to know when the BP is high, but the fact remains, it is the silent killer and when symptoms appear, it is too late. A stroke or heart attack is a sure symptom.....Five strokes later, I have had those symtoms.

Swollen feet and legs are a sign of poor circulation, edema and other such ailments.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Seems like I missed a bit in just two days!! 10 hr. shifts at nite just ain't fun. At least they told me to come back next week. Mabey by then some of the other places I've applied will decide what they're gonna do.
They were callin for rain here tonite but it looks like it may not wait that long. Agee bought some kinda bulbs she wants to put out today but it may have to wait.Don't know what they are ....I just dig where she points!!!
MK...wasn't it you that had the messedup mower,...did ya ever get it to runnin??? Guess I'm gonna have to put another muffler on the one I used the other day to keep from freaking BH out.
Well I'm gonna go lay down for awhile & try not to sleep most of the day, less of course it does rain. But Agee's off today & I do want to spend some time with my HONEY!!!

    Good morning all,

Preacher...nights were made for sleeping. I had to work 3rd shift for several months (a long time ago) and I never did get used to it!

It rained all night (and messed up my clean windows), but is supposed to be nice today - partly cloudy with a high of 66º. It is already 52º.

I am going to wash some more windows on the inside today, but won't get to the outside until tomorrow when hubby is home. The ones I can't get to on the outside are the old tall ones with wooden storm windows. It takes an extension ladder to get the storm windows down and wash the top panes.

BTW, my legs and ankles are back to normal this morning. I can actually see my ankle bones sticking out again. PTL!

I am still going to make an appointment, with the doctor, to have some blood work done next month.

I've got to put my thinking cap on so I can 'get' hubby tomorrow on April Fool's Day. Brent has come up with a few 'pranks', but I'm not sure Dale's heart can handle any of them.

    Time for coffee!

Let us know what you do, Sue!

I've been on the lam with my dog Kipper, so unable to post. I came here for some refreshment before I take off again. [IMG]

My middle daughter has an appointment with an eye doctor to see what's up with her. She was fine a couple months ago when I took her, but now she's complaining about not being able to read very well unless she's very close up. Guess we'll find out in a couple hours! I'm wondering if allergies have anything at all to do with it. They had this kid down as having a hearing loss in one ear/hearing impairment in the other a couple years ago, and it ended up to simply beallergies! When we took care of the allergies, it took care of the hearing problem.

Yep preacher, it was me with the mower. Haven't had a chance to tear into again, so it's still not working. Then again, I don't have time to mow grass anyhow!

I've got three sick kids today! Chris has mono for sure. The girls? Nah, I wouldn't get lucky enough for them not to have it too. But they haven't tested positive for it. So I have all three telling me how bad they feel, what little time they feel like talking, and I can't do a thing for them. Doc says they have to suffer through it. Of course the mono is giving Chris and Cass both migraines so they are having to suffer through those too. Poor kids!

So my day will be spent petting kids and cleaning house and stopping in here occasionally to relieve the boredom.

Gotta go call the school and make them break their policy of not gathering up makeup work. Grr....

    See ya!

Gina: I've got him on the raw egg in his lunch the last two years (last year it was colored) so I don't think that will work again...

I also sent a banana in his lunch and when he peeled it, it fell into slices (Abiyah told me about that one.) ;)

One year I left the plastic on the cheese in his sandwich with a post-it note attached saying, "April Fool". He didn't find it until he bit into it. :D

The work crew he eats lunch with can hardly wait for him to unpack his lunch every year, but for some reason, he keeps forgetting about it.

He won't take a lunch tomorrow because he only works until 10:00 so I am going to have to do something at home. I'm sure Brent and I, together, can come up with something 'special'. [IMG] [IMG]

It is VERY windy here today. I am thanking the Lord that I no longer have sweetgum balls blowing all over the yard!!!

    Break time is over,
    HAGD!

    Saran wrap on the commode?

Put the handle of the fridge on the other side of the door?

    Squeaky toy under his pillow?

    Fake spider in his shoe?

Clear kool-aid instead of water? They made clear cherry flavored, after it settles, it looks just like water.

Replace his pants with ones that are one size smaller.

A five foot tall blow up bunny standing right outside the front door.

Something in his shoes that makes a noise like a chicken bawking every time he takes a step.

Ok, I'm out of ideas. LOL Well, not really, but they'd never all fit on here!

I'm about to go out and get my favorite movie to watch tonight after the girls go to bed. Tomorrow is the anniversary of my birth mom's death, and it has me in a crummy mood. Didn't know her much, but in a way knew her well. So...tonight will be spent feeling sorry for me, while the kids are in bed and don't have to witness it, and I don't want to do it tomorrow because then my eyes will be puffy Sunday and then I'll have to explain and I won't want to.

The only problem is, I can't remember what my favorite movie is. LOLOL I used to have all my favorite stuff written down on my old computer. I think it was "What Dreams May Come". Maybe I'll get two just in case.
Oooohhh, there is a totally totally stupid one a friend and I used to watch, some spoof on the army. No, navy. Whatever. They love me at Blockbuster, because I stand there and explain stuff like this. Sometimes they actually know what one I'm talking about!

Ok, I'm off to search for movies. See ya later!

Just remember, April Fool's ends at noon. After the noon hour the joke is on you.
    Quote:
    Superstitions
Traditionally, pranks are supposed to be performed before noon. Those done afterwards are supposed to bring bad luck to the perpetrator. This limitation is not, however, universally adhered to since it is believed to have been contrived by annoyed parents and school teachers wanting a respite from the day of pranks, as well as since many of the hoaxes listed below first appeared after noon.

Never did have much use for this non-holiday.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Good morning all,

It was a busy night and today is going to be the same. DIL is having problems and I am trying to help via phone and wiring money. I probably won't be online much until things settle down a bit and everyone is home and safe.

Please pray for traveling mercies for my DIL and four grandchildren. They are driving back from Alabama today and it is a long trip.

    Thanks,

Thank you, Elnora, and good morning all.

Brandy, and the kids, are back in Illinois. They made the trip safely. I will most likely be on the phone today when I'm not at church, but I will check in when I can.

    Have a blessed Lord's Day,

Today was "Nerd Sunday" on the bus. I took this picture of Brent a few minutes ago. Life doesn't stop just because things go wrong...
