Your not concerned for the effects of gambling on children of gamblers.

Your not concerned for the effects of cigarettes on others.

But lets pass laws to save animals when we are doing all we can to save people. Maybe we should leave big brother out of our lives with regards to our pets.

Stealing interferes with another person's right.

You bet the government should stay out of the seat belt and gambling questions - regardless of how much you authoritarians/socialists want it to be.

And we all will have to stand before Christ, and give an account of what we did for others.

When you refuse to stand against sin, and refuse to help the innocent you are slapping Christ in the face with the back of your hand.

He will judge us all. And the innocents blood will be on our hands.
When that child goes to school this week hungry, and hurting, because his dad spent all his money on internet gambling, and you decided to turn a blind eye, you will give account of it. Especially if you support the industry.

BTW, what is your image of God? a libertine?

I guess you are a liberal/socialist. Only if one supports government action in an area does a liberal/socialist think that it proves that he/she cares about the subject.

So you believe that one only cares if he/she supports government action? Private initiative counts for nothing with you, eh? Pitiful, absolutely pitiful!

How libertarian are you when it comes to animal rights? I am thinking not as much so as when it comes to the actual suffering of human children. What a shame. I think you would fit right in with PETA.

The truth is many of these issues effect more than just the indivudual.

    Smoking causes secand hand smoke.

Gambling brings with it crime and al sorts of perverted behaviors.

Alcohol effects the family and the community.

Do passing these laws prtoect the community as a whole? You bet it does.

I do have to say that the liberal agenda behinf smoking goes way beyond prtecting innocent lives. It is just another opportunity to destroy big business. Pushing their communist ideology.

What private initiative would you support to stop parents from spending their entire paychecks on gambling and leaving their children hungry? How about animal rights?

The road you are advocating will lead eventually to parents having no say so in the rearing of children - including your own or that of your children. The government will do it "for the children" since parents can't be trusted because they may not do it the way the folks like you think it should be done.

You will rue the day you started down that road.

It actually goes further than that. They don't want to destroy the tobacco industry. If they did, they would have a long time ago. They want to profit off the taxes of the tobacco industry.

I say if it is really as dangerous as they say it is, (which I do believe it is), then make it illegal.

Animals should be protected under personal property/business property rights of people and businesses.

I am as concerned for parents rights and the left wing choocs who are trying to remove them so they can indoctrinate our chilfdren into their communist ideology.

But I dont see the control of gambling as a step in that direction. What I do see is that it always brings with it crime and degenerate behaviors within the community as a whole.

Is that correct? I am glad to hear you say that. I am guessing you won't be pushing for more government regulations of the furr industries when they are skinning the rodents alive anymore, right? Weren't you the one throwing a fit not too long ago about wanting more government intervention to protect farm animals here in Arkansas. Doesn't sound too libertine to me.

Your comment about smoking reminded me of growing up..

My dad owned a 74 pickup, we drove 45 minutes to church... Both he and mom were chain smokers. I was always sick with allergies and such. So in the winter, mom would always insist that the heater be on full blast and windows up so I wouldnt get sick.... but of course they smoked away!

So there I was coughing my head off, and mom betting that I was getting a cold!!!!!.... It is no wonder I have asthma now.

But of course cigarettes hurt no one. (roll eyes)

Then one of my friends had a dad that was addicted to gambling... my friend would always come to school hungry because they had no money for food. If it wasn't for the free school lunches he would not have had anything to eat somedays.

But of course gambling doesn't hurt anyone.

Gambling is stealing! It is stealing money from your family to do what you want to do....

    It is a selfish act...
And of course we don't want laws that will help the families!

As long as we are not affected, everything is all right..

I say ante up some courage and do what is right.
We have laws dealing with alcoholics... nothing different, just another sick addiction.

That wasn't what you were saying a few years ago when a few animal rights nuts were trying to take away the personal property / business property rights of farmers. I guess you had yet another change of heart since Mustain is doing so good for the Razorbacks?

So does people not getting sufficient sleep, not eating healthily, etc. Are you consistent and support the government regulating these actions - including your own, or do you only want the government to regulate other people's live and not your as a typical communist does?
