Hey, was the recent new agreement that we had to click on the instrument that allows the board to have a political party advertising on the board? Are you going to allow all the other political parties to advertise?

Don't give me the this a private board we can do what we want line, I know that already. I was just curious if you had to change the rules to allow for the Constitutiion Party (aka We Want a Theocracy in America Party) to advertise. Also are they paying for the space or are you doing it out of the kindness of your collective hearts?

Touchy, touchy. Republicans get real mad when some conservatives show up. "Don't upset the apple cart while OUR party is slopping at the trough."

The Republican Party probably has enough power to ban the CP from the Presidential debates.

Hopefully though they don't have enough to ban it from the Baptist Board.

Would love everyone to see everyone in on the debates, regardless of the affliation. I never said I was a Republican, in fact I feel that what we have now as the Republican party is more accurately called the Republi-crats, but that is for the politics forum. This is a question outside the realm of politics and mostly, but not soley directed at the framers of this board.

The owner of this Web site choose to put a banner for the movie "The Passion" on the site, that doesn't mean he has to advertise every other movie that is playing.

Well, I for one saw the ad, and didn't have a problem with it. However, if I saw an ad for the Democratic or Republican parties, they wouldn't bug me, either. I don't have a problem with the site administrator(s) selling ad space. If memory serves, the ad links are provided by an outside agency that pays for the ad space, not the ad holders themselves (I could be wrong, thoogh), so the admin(s) don't have as much say about what ads appear as one would think.

Unless televised debates are paid for by the public, I personally don't thin kit should be open to every Tom, Dick, and Harry party that comes along. It makes for a cure for insomnia. If supporters of the CP are serious, then let them buy the air time and have their own debate.

Besides, the debates are anything but. They're little more than Q & A with rebuttal. Perhaps we should have the WWF organize the debates. At least it will be more real.

They were able to have televised debates with 9 Democratic candidates. They should be able to set up a few more mics for some of the third-party candidates in the September debates.

I think that they should allow any party in the presidential and vice-presidential debates that has earned ballot access in enough States to win an Electoral College majority. Or, at a minimum, any party that is on the ballot in all 50 States and the District of Columbia.

The Constitution Party is preferable to me compared to the Democratic and Republican Parties(aka We Want Bigger and More Intrusive Government Parties).

Wouldn't that make it a preference for "the lesser of evils"? Something dems and reps cite, but get finger-pointed for? Just joshing!!!

    Johnv,

Nope. Since I don't consider any political party that wants to reduce the size of the federal government to constitutional size to be evil. [IMG]

Who cares about any of this. It's his board, he can do whatever he wants.
