I have worked for a Fortune 100 company for the last 7 years. For the last year, I've worked as a contractor for them. I am contracting so that I can have more flexible hours, in order to attend pastor's conferences and ministry related conferences. I'm not a pastor yet, but I desire to be involved in more ministry. I was recently thinking about getting together a job description for a corporate chaplain. I have heard of some large companies creating these positions. I think some include it as part of their Employeee Assistance Program, in which licensed counselors are on staff to counsel employees. Do you know anyone that does this? Does this sound like a good ministry idea? I would have to come up with a job description and a reason why the job would be important. Then I would have to pitch the idea to senior management.
