Folks, we are getting slammed in the other forums. Let's keep on with the godly discourse here. I can certainly feel the differnce in the spirit of this forum, and the others. I praise the Lord, that we have this area to discuss topics, without the heresies and antagonist from the other areas. As I said before, they know they would be here, lurking. The only thing I didn't realize, was instead of jumping our threads and starting trouble, they went back and trashed us amongst themselves. I like it that way! I just hope some of them stay here long enough, and keep their mouths quiet, and let the Holy Spirit convict them for their sin, or even get saved!!!!!!

I really must say that posts like this one are only going to create a wider divide and more animosity, especially if you insist on prodding "them" in other forums.

If you deem yourself to be so much more spiritual than "them", then be spiritual enough to not propagate the bickering. [IMG]

You, for whatever reason, missed the point. I was trying to encourage the folks that have made this forum their "home". I didn't go to the other forums saying a word, they were here "lurking".
It was to show their true colors. They are the ones who took the bait. They have been constantly berating the "fundies", and can't stand the fact, that no one is there to argue with them. That's what they are after anyway. You know, I have absolutely nothing in common with Post-it, but I respect him for not saying a word down here. He said he wouldn't and he hasn't, and I appreciate that. Some others could learn from his example.

I would encourage all who call themselves fundies to continue to post in the other forums. If we all leave, a major conservative voice goes away.

Also, I would encourage the more liberal to continue to follow the threads of interest and see how discussions go when we don't question the Word.

Fellow Fundies, let us not put forth a bunch of hateful and/or threads that have no purpose. I am NOT saying this has happened. Just remember though, we are thought of as schismatic for the sake of being schismatic - we aren't. We separate for the sake of integrity and truth and because it honors Christ. I am afraid we aren't done bleeding though.

    Out like my last band-aid.

I don't believe that I did miss the point. By your own admission, your post was meant as "bait" to those you knew were "lurking".

As to their "constant berating" of the "fundies".... *shrug* as the title of your post says....count it all joy.

As to your respect for Post-it, I agree that we can all learn something from positive examples. 1 Peter 2:21-23

Then go follow the example. Because like I said, you missed the point completely!

I say Amen! let's keep a godly testimony in this forum.

We should try to please the Lord our Saviour...for He's a "lurker" too... the eyes of the Lord are in every place...beholding the evil and the good. (that's from memory in case I didn't quote it verbatum)

Love your neighbor as yourself. Why do I keep repeatedly posting this particular scripture? Maybe it's because repetition is the key to learning... And, I need this admonision too. [IMG] [IMG]

Amen, Wisdom Seeker! I have been just as guilty as many of the posters on here, forgetting the WHOLE WORLD could be lurking at what goes on in our posts! But even more than that, God is lurking here too! [IMG]

So, I repent if I've offended anyone. I am really going to work on being kinder, watch my fingers (what I type) & thinking first, and try to be positive! [IMG]

However, this does NOT mean I'm going to be less firm in what I believe, only try to be kinder. [IMG] [IMG]

All, I am not sorry for anything I said in the other forum. I think more than one of us, had requested this forum, and more than one of us, said that SOME folks would be lurking. How should I have defined it? That is exactly what it is, when SOME people were so opposed to this forum, yet they can't resist the temptation to read every post, and run back to their allies, and whine about what is going on "down there". I ask everyone that is using this forum, for the right reason, to PRAYERFULLY, read the post that started this thread, and tell me what I said that was out of line. Murph, I don't need you to make apologies for me. I going to say this once, and don't take it the wrong way, because I mean it in a good way; you can't straddle the fence. I ask anyone of you, that has enjoyed this forum, for the right reason, to peruse my post HERE, and tell me if I stepped on toes, or did I try to help maintain a civil discourse. The only reason I "went off up there", was defending the folks on this forum! And you know, the Lord did convict me of posting in that area, and being confrontational. I guess it's like the old analogy of wrestling with a pig......I just hope that what we have here can continue. It is a good thing.

Read into what you wish. I said he convicted me of being there....not what I said. Sounds like sombody tried on the shoes, and found that they fit perfectly.

Gal 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

You said he convicted you of being confrontational. It was not "being there" that was confrontational, but "what you said".

SBG, I hope you take this in the spirit in which it was intended.

Thanks for letting me know what the Lord has spoken to me Brian. Now if you could just hear when he speaks to you......I earnestly pray, that you take that as it was meant. [IMG]

Sigh, when you contend for the faith you will be somewhat confrontational. Read some of the early Christians and see the things they said about the anti-Christs and such. We worry about being polite way too much. When I read some of those lads I feel like a milquetoast.

Well, yes, but Paul also told Timothy that our confrontation needs to be done with gentleness and humility.

Yep! He also told Titus to rebuke them sharply.

SBG, you said "the Lord did convict me of posting in that area, and being confrontational." It was *you* who told *me*, or have you forgotten already? How were you confrontational (which the Lord convicted you of), if not in what you said (which you are not sorry for)? I'm just trying to understand.
