Death of a Baptist Board Member

    My good friend, LRL71, passed away on Sunday, May 18th. I don't think he has posted here in a while, but he is still listed as a member. He was only 37 and leaves behind a wife and young son. Please pray for his wife during this time.

    I'm praying for his wife and children. I can certainly relate. My husband was 39 when he died, leaving behind myself and our four children.

    Larry and I were roommates for about three years while we were both working our way through seminary. His lot in life was not an easy one. Several years ago, his father passed away very suddenly and this brought great discouragement to Larry. He left school and moved away. I did not think I'd ever hear from him again. But, God was good and Larry persevered. He met a great gal and got married. Then, I believe that he made great strides in his spiritual life in the last five years that he lived. He met his obligations, finished his degree, started a family, and was working towards being an elder in his church. He lived an honorable life and he finished well. Well done, my friend. I'll meet you in the morning....
