The real question is why Obama has hid this from the public.

Interesting reading, thanks for the post. It will be even more interesting to see how this plays out. Of course the liberals will no doubt not care about his background. The real story will be how the right and the moderates see the importance of either his Muslim connections or, what I think is more important, his reasoning for not being forthcoming knowing this would definitely be used by political oppenents in a time of war against Muslim aggression.

I keep forgetting that, as Christians, we always focus on a person's past acts, their past mistakes, their past experience, and are opposed to these silly fictions about regeneration and restoration.

    Specious argument.

Everyone that runs for President will have their background examined under a microscope.

I think the main point is that he has not talked openly about it. And it took researchers, even Hillary's (wow they must have used Google!, she has a brighter bunch than I thought!) to pull the information instead of him just stating it in his autobiographies.

The article says his biography mentions a Muslim upbringing.

Maybe he's embarassed about it, kind of like the years I spent as a Baptist...

How is it a mistake to attend the school your parents chose for you when you're 7-10 years old? Maaaaybeeee the grammar school was a Saudi madrassa and maybe it wasn't .... but isn't the very possibility horrifying?

The article is very clever to attribute the anonymous source to Clinton's campaign - smear two camps with one mudball.

Such trivia as his middle name....Who, besides Nixon and the Bushes, uses their middle name in public anyway? What was Reagan's middle name?

You can see into the future, huh? You know the thoughts and intentions of all posters, huh?

Should I call you Mister God, or Missus God?

Actually the article left me with the impression that he is what he says, as it relates to his youth. ie. that he's neither a Muslim nor a Christian. But that's just my take.

His voting record as the most liberal legislator on the planet is what worries me.

Voting records and stated policies are what is important.

    Who said it was?

Is that what's known as a strawman?

And why do you think that's so? Because the past is the best predictor of the future?

He's had a pass so far, never challenged, never questioned, fawned over by the MSM because they mistakenly think Hillary Clinton can't win in two years. Up until now, he's gotten away with the evasive answers.

But now Barack's in the way of a real politican and she needed to do what she's doing, or else, if she wins the nomination, she'll be forced to put him on the bottom of the ticket, and lose the Jewish vote.

You must be joking. Every American legislator is to the right of any member of the Irish Dail.

I am pretty certain the same is true for most of Europe

I sure agree with that, but if I thought he was a closet/sleeper Islamo-fascist, THAT would take precedence as the issue.

TP said we must focus on past mistakes.

No, carpro, these trivia are some of the things the article of the OP focused on. When you take points from the article cited in the OP, that is NOT a strawman, it's pointing out how inane these arguments are. I didn't make them up or present them as valid. Read the article.

Agreed. And how would we know until it is too late? Westerners are so very gullible to the MO of islamofascists. To our detriment.
